DDR U.S. Championship - Online Rounds Discussion

So not only did they change the rules, again, but you're forced to play a specific mix on specific consoles that not everyone has. All of this trouble for a $250 gift certificate 1st prize. Not worth it.

Anyone have any recent news to how the rest of the tournament is coming?

Didn't I read somewhere that they cancelled having a 4th round?
I feel sorry for you guys, for a national tournament this seems an absolute and total mess.

....your right they did cancel Round 4 or something like that, they are not going to hold a Finals rounds, it's only online from now on and whoever has the highest scores of everyone who has submitted their videos win the whole freaking thing...

Very poor organizing skills whoever was really running this tournament, seems like DDR PS3 and this tournament is the most disappointing factors for Konami's DDR section of this year.

Hello DanceDanceRevolution Final Round Finalists!

The Finals: Thursday December 23rd and end Sunday January 2nd, 2011. All video entries must be received by 11:59pm Sunday January 2nd, 2011.

The Final Round of the DanceDanceRevolution tournament has begun. This part of the tournament will be held online.

All Final Round participants will record your performance and take a picture, with time-stamp, of their final score. The camera setup is as follows:

1. Camera 1 (your camera) is setup to face television to record game play
a. The camera must have the entire television screen in focus while the song is on screen
2. Camera 2 (our camera) must be on you at the time of execution
a. Camera can be set up on tripod or mounted next to television.
b. Your entire person must be in frame to record at time of song execution
3. Interview
a. We need a video interview, using the camera provided, answering the following questions:
i. State your Name
ii. Your age
iii. Hometown
iv. What do you like best about playing DanceDanceRevolution?
v. How long have you been playing DanceDanceRevolution?
vi. Will you continue to play DanceDanceRevolution and compete in tournaments?
vii. What are some other hobbies you have other than DanceDanceRevolution?

Participants will, again, record themselves playing and take a picture, with timestamp, of their final score. The cameras will be provided this time as well as a list of shots to submit with the final results. They will submit the video and the picture via email. Only one submission per individual Player will be accepted.
