The X2AC album art remake thread

Followed these measurements:

You could say they aren't the "right" measurements anymore because Lirodon fixed the bug in his stepmania theme (the only one to use square banners atm) that gitched when the banners were perfectly square. Now that the bug is fixed, the banners can be made at 256x256 or 512x512.

Your group banners are 236x200. That's hardly close to a square cover.

There's little reason to make covers for songs that have official backgrounds... especially if it's just a stretch job. The StepMania theme should take the background and resize it fit (just like it does already with the different size variants for banners). I can't imagine that being more than a metrics job. But if someone makes a perfect recreation or a rip of the official art or comes up with something completely original then there would exist a reason to replace art that, for most songs, already exists.


512 squared if you can do it without increasing the size of the source artwork, otherwise 256 is fine.

I personally start with 512x512 most times (as long as my components being used don't need to be upscaled). I then save it in 256x256, but then also keep a 512x512 version as well. I like using that just in case a 512x512 is necessary (and I also like keeping full scale images).
For general purposes though, always make your final version 256x256 as not everyone has a super monitor set to high resolutions.

These aren't really custom remakes - they're actually photos that have been color-adjusted among other things in Photoshop.

I'll do some of these.
Konami really messed up, though. Some songs use SINGLE covers and others use ALBUM covers.
They should stick to the former, as otherwise they might not necessarily match the name of the song!

They got it right for Feel Good Inc, but not much else.
