But to be more technical, I've been a gamer since i was 4 (Super Mario Bros. + Duck Hunt got me started).
OMG, I played those games when I was like 8 years old. I started playing DDR when I was 14. Kinda late, but whatever.

Gamer since Sonic 2 and Toy Story for the Genesis. I was, what, 3 when I started gaming. Just like my brother (who is four and has almost beaten the full Sonic and the Secret Rings game O_O)
DDR, I first started with Konamix in 2002 or something...Didn't start seriously playing until late 2007.

I wouldn't call that late. I started when I was your age, around May 2001(5thMIX AC) to be exact. Aside from a 3-year hiatus because of an unrelated injury, I've been playing ever since.Post #67 · Posted at 2010-07-27 12:01:41pm 15.3 years ago

I would actually say that's pretty average. I started playing back in 2003 when I was 9 and seemingly everyone else that played in my area was between your age and 21... though from 2005 (when I was 11) until January 2007 (when I was 13) I didn't play at all, so maybe the standards have changed. Pretty much everyone in my area stopped playing so I don't really know if I'm one of the youngest anymore.

I'm 16, born in May, started DDR-ing when I was 10. took me one year to beat a 10, and progress has been slow ever since.

I started playing in December 2008. I think I mostly win the late prize
Like Kynayo, I got to ten-footers within a year, but moving through the tens has been pretty difficult. Yet another reason why I picked up doubles.

Wow, I started out on SuperNOVA when I was 14, and everyone in my town quit playing around than because the songs got too hard. I passed my first 10 (Outer Limits on SuperNOVA 2) about a year later, but I had trouble passing 10s until I got my metal dance mat almost a year ago. Now I'm struggling with ITG 11s and 12s along with 16-18s on X/X2.

Got my first 10 (SAKURA...shut up, I know it's a 9 now) in early '09, progressed to finally beating Pluto Relinquish
back in October, and slow sailin' since. Can't beat FELM or FAXX
yet.

Same here. I failed at the very end of FELM
The best 10 I can probably pass would be either Trigger

Lucky bastards. I still can't pass anything higher than 8's (OLD) or 11's (NEW). Even then, some 8's I screw up on. *shakes fist @ ORION.78 (civilization mix)

I am 19, my birthday is April 5th 1991. Been playing bemani games since I was 12 though (around 7 years). I can AAA almost any given song on Heavy on DDR EXTREME arcade, and of course pass everything with a pretty high grade (mostly AAA's) on the newer games.

Same here >_> I can only handle a couple of 9's and 10's (old scale). What usually gets me is my stamina. I usually tire at the end and it really effects my ability. That and crossovers. I am JUST getting the hang of doing some of them more efficientlyPost #78 · Posted at 2010-07-28 12:32:32pm 15.3 years ago

Now, I'm the opposite. I can't beat PRH (or PRO, but they'll come at the same time), but I can beat FAXXH (and FAXXO) and FELMH.Post #79 · Posted at 2010-07-28 05:34:52pm 15.3 years ago

Seriosly? "Lucky"? You think being a pro at DDR has anything to do with luck?
Anyway, I started Didder when I was 20 back in 2004. Passed my first 10 a year and a half later I think.
