Ryu☆ / starmine

I don;t think Ryu would release short versions. It wouldn't sell well if you think about it. No one's going to buy a CD filled with stuff they already have. They're going to have to separate it from the IIDX OSTs somehow, and that somehow is long versions. I actually don't mind nonstop megamixes, especially if done well. I am really looking forward to this release. And even if the 1st CD is a disappointment, there's always the remix CD.

Put it this way, if the nonstop megamix is 60-80 minutes long. There's 20 songs, that makes an average length of 3-4 mintues per song.

Correct me if I'm wrong...But doesn't it say on the Site "DISC1（ORIGINAL ALBUM SIDE)"? I don't see a NONSTOP MEGAMIX...//

I'm sure most of the people who will actually buy Ryu*'s music, and follow his work would rather have the Nonstop Remix, than simple 6-minute versions of the songs.

There are dozens of doujin / nico artists putting out extended versions of Ryu's bemani songs. We know what they sound like, and I doubt the man himself would do them any differently.

Now, we're going to get to hear him messing around with his old songs, and mixing them together. We had a taste of his mixing from some of the Exit Trance CDs, but this is his own material, and he's free to change the songs to better accentuate the transitions.

At the end of the day, it's his debut album, and he's going to present his music in the way he thinks is best. I'm going to assume that he's made a good choice. I'm certainly not interested in listening to an 8 minute version of So Fabulous, which is only slightly different to the other 8 minutes versions of So Fabulous, that already exist. I am excited about hearing the song being taken apart, re-mastered, and mixed into AI and Bass 2 Bass.

I don't think a nonstop remix is a bad idea at all, and I've bought all of his extended mixes from Quake since Code0207. I don't see many other Quake fans complaining about the nonstop, either. This entire thing is fanservice.

I call into question the statements that Rainbow Rainbow sounds like MOON and AGEHA sounds like Queen's Tragedy.

They don't. At all. I'm guessing that maybe that's how their remixes will sound. MOON and Rainbow Rainbow are two totally different genres.

If someone could figure out who that person TAKA is remixing with, it could narrow his song down plenty. As for Dirty Androids, something about that artist's name leads me to VOX UP as his pick. Suzaku vs. Seiryu just sounds like it would happen.

I'm going with Tyma's guesses on TOMOSUKE, Nekomata Master and good-cool. I do feel like good-cool could take in the sky as the song instead though.

Oh yeah, if no one noticed yet, there's a 4th slot revealed for the Seiryu bonus disc. That should definitely be VOX UP unless Ryu☆ decides to pull a fast one and give us a Sirius preview of a new Seiryu song.

I must admit Sota Fujimori's remix of "Be Quiet" sound interesting

No, it's an awesome idea. All of his studio-mixed albums are pretty good, and there are already 5+ minute arrangements of all the songs on Disc 1, so everyone's happy in the end

That said, I wish I hadn't listened to the samples of Disc 2. The low sound quality makes them sound pretty bad :{
