I have a hard time believing our economy is bad because of video game producer preferences.

Apparently console sales went up as the economy went down, what's up with that?

Even then. People said no to it because DDR came first etc. etc., but then people played it more because other than the overall song selection, it was a fairly good game with good time windows and good stepcharts.

Well... you are going to get bored as you wait for the repo man to come take all of your stuff. You want your last memories of your house to be you strangling/pummeling the guy with your controller [wire] as he tries to take your console, instead of twiddling your thumbs while you wait for the start of your hobo career.
What Konami needs to do is bring the IIDX games over here. Hell, I don't care if they drop a few of the songs for licenses but if they are just going to sit on their hands while they already have 500+ songs in 10+ PS2 games, I won't be surprised if Beatmania is called a rip-off of "so and so" again by some moronic game review show when they realize the error of their ways.

part of the reason the economy is so bad, to my understanding, is an overall debt to income ratio. its really easy here in the states to get a $5000 credit card, max it out, and make the minimum payments, and people keep digging themselves deeper. more credit cards, multiple vehicles they dont need, mortgages, etc. as the economy slowly dropped, it got a push downward by people who didnt want to adjust their lifestyle to the way the economy was changing. thats not all of it, but from my understanding, it isnt helping any.

Americans have no idea when to cut down. I swear, my neighbor just lost his job...so what did he do? Buy a new Television of course (despite his old one working fine...but apparently he wants one in his bedroom as well, so that's where that one is going).
Also, they will still order supersized meals (with diet sodas of course, it makes it healthy!). So basically what n00b said.
Oh, we did cut back on gas though, clap clap to that.

the timing windows arent any wider than a bemani game. the window for a hit is just about as big as the good window in IIDX. its not that the timing windows are huge, its that there arent separate note judgements. pretty big difference.

oh, those bads. its not that big. maybe the HO/PO window in GH3 is, considering its infinitely sized, but the strum and HO/PO timing in any other GH or RB game isnt that big.

I don't know, goods are pretty tight in IIDX. Maybe goods in DDR.

goods are pretty huge, IMO. its definitely easier to get goods in IIDX than in DDR. its times like these we need frame data for this stuff. all i know is i FCed e-motion[a] because the good window is pretty wide.

Guitar Freaks--->Guitar Hero
Drum Mania + Rock Band + Karaoke Revolution--->Rock Band
DanceDance Revolution--->Dance Hero
Karaoke Revolution--->American Idol
Conclusion: America has never had an original idea since the late eighties.
We should spam every public forum about this -_-
Who's with me? Let's go to every non-exclusive community and spam the hell out of them to make people aware of the originals. Why don't we flood YouTube and Veoh and DailyMotion and rape MySpace, Xanga, and Facebook with pictures and posts of this stuff.
Really, I would do it on a global scale if I could.

Konami also released a karaoke game under DDR released exclusively to a giant chain karaoke bars in Japan, unrelated to Karaoke revolution.
