This is one of the sets that I spent the most time on, and was actually referring to the banners and bgs of the original Do It Right and the 2Step remix. I feel that this is one of the most faithful remakes I've ever made.

@DJ Tomoe: Glad you thought the silhouette turned out well, because I didn't think so at the time. I guess it works!

Love Get Ready For This, but not digging the BG's for A Public Affair or Paper Planes (looks too much like a cut and paste).

I only make BGs because it feels more "complete".
I would only make banners just like DDR but a simfile feels wrong with no BG.

I'm not saying don't make BG's, I'm just saying don't make BG's that look exactly like the banner. Something in the style of what DJ OMiY posted above would be good. They're similar, but some unique work went into each one.

Actually, in a way, that is like DDR. In its early days, the graphics weren't like that, but if you look at most, if not all, of the banners in the Ultramix and Universe series, that's what they did. Plus, other than those two series, they're not even using backgrounds anymore, so it doesn't really matter.

In Chewphoria's defense, I'm sure everyone has banners/BGs that are off of each other. Check out almost any of my Freezepop files or my pop'n music ones. The text is redone but the background is a pull from the BG.

That's why I only make them for "completion", if StepMania had 3-D stages and characters I would only make banners (just like SN1, SN2, and X).

That is why most of my EARLY sims always had videos and just black BGs. ;]

I never intended on making a simfile for the song, I was just addicted to it at the time.

I like the one on the left better.

I'd prefer the font from the one on the right on the background of the one on the left.

Although you might as well NOT do that since nobody's going to complain if they AREN'T the same.
