I find it odd that so many people had problems using this pack. I just unpacked the smzip somewhere separate from my normal SM (4.0) install, and added the Songs directory to the "AdditionalSongFolders" line in my sm.ini. Worked just fine for playing the songs, though I haven't yet given them the attention they deserve. AA'ed the Jenny Rom song on a sightread though.

I think the nDDRo guys will be pissed off if they see someone uploading their songs, especially if they're unlocks.

No! You should use the SM that comes packaged with thesmzip! It's got the theme and the rejigged metrics. Doing it your way is like driving to an restaurant just to order a take-away.

Oh, I agree that my way, I only get a small part of the experience, but I was too lazy to do it properly at the time. I'll set up a separate 3.9 install for this (it is intended for 3.9, right?), and do it properly when I turn to really playing this song pack, instead of glancing through for whatever leaps out and bites me.

Oh, and I'm on Linux, so using the SM that's packaged with it isn't really an option.

It's a custom 3.9 build. I don't think it'd work for vanilla 3.9, but you might as well try.

Well, it's been improperly uploaded (at least the DWI and SM are missing) and it's apparently 321STARS, which is just weird since that song has nothing to do with this pack and is already publicly available...

So what if people mention the old fake one from 2002? So what if you don't like people talking about it? I don't go into the threads on here that I dislike and tell people to stop talking about them. If people want to talk about hoaxes from 6 years ago, and it's clear that everybody talking knows it was a hoax, then why does it matter to you?
I did that purely because you told people stop talking about something they weren't actively discussing, and you didn't give any reason for it. I'm capricious and unreasonable like that sometimes.



Anway, I like what I've played from this pack, and am posting several videos of the charts I did tonight. Check my attention whore thread in an hour or so if you're interested in the videos.
I'll try getting the theme to work with 3.9 on Sunday, when I'll have more time to fool around.

All I want people to realize it was fake, as some people actually think that was Konami's work. Kinda like when BMS did the "DDR Extreme II" hoax, which was WAYY past fake

Okay, I guess that's reasonable. It was just the "Please stop talking about this." that I saw as unreasonable.

And with this, I have BMS marked as an unreliable source. Not that I go there, but if someone posts info they got from BMS, I'll toss it in the trash.

Well i had the oportunity to download the DDR Max 3 fan game though i had to install stepmania in a seprate folder so it doesnt overwrite my existing stepmania program. any way its very good so far, ive havent played all the songs. the only gripe i have is that i cannot see my score and grade on the song wheel, cause without that i cant remember which song i played the last time, do you think that they can fix it?

I have the pack and the theme and I added SuperNOVA and EXTREME to the set and made two extra song colors. Purple for SuperNOVA and white for EXTREME.
