Thoughts:

- HyperTwist ESP is a very forgettable chart, it is "clean" but there is not much going on, which IMO is mostly because the song is not that interesting.
- perditus ESP is one of the best A3 charts. It's very balanced, does not hold back with the mini-streams and I like the 12th section. I just wish it had the 24ths like in IIDX but maybe the challenge chart will...
- CHAOS TTM ESP is good, not much to say, I think the gimmick usage is tasteful but not too overboard
- COWGIRL is not *bad* but I really don't think it holds up against the other 3

HyperTwist is one of my favorite charts from A20+. The expert has some really fun and crazy crossovers (270s) that are rarely seen in any charts, particularly ones that flow into and out of them (e.g. brilliant 2 U orchestral groove has some but not always with good flow in the second half). On the more serious scoring side the patterns are not too fast and can be double stepped giving multiple options.

Perditus I guess I have not had enough time to dive in and formulate too much of an opinion about it yet. First impressions are that it is fine but it will be a long while before much of the player base gets a chance to play it as it might as well not exist for now.

Chaos terror-tech is fine but not my favorite. It has some interesting tech with the footswitches on the DLD-DRD-DLD-DRD type patterns, but otherwise I think the challenge is just a much more interesting chart (even if it is really hard).

Cow girl is totally fine and probably great fun for enjoyers of gallops. Outside that it does have some fun sections of just steady notes such as the freeze with three taps on the other foot. I kinda like it, just not enough to vote for it.

Thoughts

HyperTwist was pretty good and straightforward chart, along with some twists in there too!
perditus†paradisus can be tricky at times but it's good.
CHAOS Terror-Tech Mix is fine as it is but not my cup of tea.
COW GIRL sounds pretty good and so does the chart. Yee-haw!

HyperTwist is a very fun song. It's a very high-energy song with delightful crossovers and gimmicks. I feel like the chart does a better job at delivering a fun playing experience than the chart, as that seems to take things to the extreme, but is still a fun chart regardless.

perditus†paradisus is a very well-rounded 17. I am a big fan of piano and guitar-based songs in DDR, since the charts are mostly on point with the music and they have a high fun factor.

CHAOS Terror-Tech Mix is definitely more fun than the original, especially with that spin during the pauses in the beginning. It was close between this and perditus†paradisus, but I like the latter more.

COW GIRL is fun, especially the gallops (very fitting for a song named COW GIRL), but I feel like it pales in comparison to the other three.

Hate to do you like that, perditus/paradisus. But you got a much better chart nine damn years ago in the ITG Eurocup 2013 pack. Wherever it's originally from, I got no idea, but yeah.

ONYX was my nomination and one of the best examples of intentional doublestepping in the game, IMO, but I have to give MAX 300 points for its historic significance. I know it's a bit of an overplayed chart, but it holds up extremely well, much better than any other chart in the MAX series.

Not much to say with these charts:

ONYX is a very solid modern take on the "stamina 9-footer", I think there was a lot more possible with the song but given it's an A20+ chart I can't say I dislike it.

MAX 300 is THE chart, I don't need to explain.

I've always thought Witch Doctor was a little overrated, I get that there were not many charts within this difficulty range when this was new but I think there are many more interesting charts from that era, such as...

...GHOSTS, which I actually think has aged fairly well!

THIS IS MY LAST RESORT only gets a point because I think Konami should be commended for making a gimmick-laden chart that's actually readable. Otherwise yeah, Horatio is the best of the group, although toy boxer is also a solid 15 16.
