Why Round 1 specifically?

The only Bemani game (that I know of) at D&B is DDR. Those are white cabs running the US build, so them having PASELI isn’t necessary.

Basically, it just feels like "death of a thousand cuts" sometimes with these games. So many of the little pains in the ass add up to drag the overall experience down when at the core of it is a really fun game.

Having to wait a few months for the new mix also really sucks just because Konami feels like selling the game isn't enough, but... well, we'll get it over here about two years after you guys do, so you're not THAT unlucky.

I think the inference is that Round1 could have more of a pull when it comes to enabling Paseli in the US since they're a Japanese based company that runs Japanese games in the US, but Konami probably does not think it's worth doing so since North America accounts for a very small portion of their profits

It would be nice if Round 1 could get something worked out to bring the full experience over here, I'm just tired of Konami's nonsense with only certain locations having certain things. Like it's better than it used to be, I remember when there were like 2 or 3 places in the US that had eAmuse at all, so seeing that all cabs have it now is great, but I'm definitely tired of the "anyone who can't play at Round 1 can get fucked" thing that has been going on.

Paseli is Japan only. It cannot be enabled on any other Asian version of any BEMANI game. However, all versions under the revenue sharing system (this includes US versions of IIDX, BTW) track credits, from which Konami simply sends a bill at the appointed time. The TDX:U version of DDR (the one currently only found in Hawaii) uses the same revenue share system. This is why those games require a connection to the network to start up, which is not the case for the MDX:U versions of DDR.


Premium on DanceRush is not Paseli locked at all, and never has been. It's Standard that is, at least for Japan. Premium is disabled on US machines for COPPA reasons, as the tweet linked points out. Premium was originally only on the Japanese versions of DanceRush when it came out, but it eventually came to other regions (though there's still a couple countries that don't have it, besides US).

Yeah, I hope that since Premium is available with COIN/CREDIT on gold cabs now, that Konami will extend that to the other games (Dancerush, Gitadora, etc) and allow you to access their "premium" modes (Deluxe mode for Gitadora, Standard mode for Dancerush) via Credits too.

From what I've heard, the default setting for Credit Premium is having it cost 2 credits, and the tech can just set it down to 1 credit, which is what happened with the local gold cab that I play on. It'd be fuckin' awesome if we could do this on the other Bemani games too.

If this game doesn't come to the UK and beyond I'll bury my head.

the uk isnt real

About the ridiculously large combo/judgment fonts, it seems a recent update made it more tolerable by using a compressed version of the same font. Though I still wish they would implement an option to shrink the font size by a certain amount.
