I don't know who Bolt-Edge is on Facebook, but I first saw it posted by someone credible on June 24. So credible people posting things without photo evidence = rumor only?
Also, there's no way it's an internal menu option. If there was, we would have found it at Round1 ages ago.
All i know is that i called Gameworks and the person who answered said there is a X2 Machine at this location(It's in KY but it's part of Cinncinnati's municipal area) That number is: 859-581-7529. If you want to call them yourself, be my guestAlso, there's no way it's an internal menu option. If there was, we would have found it at Round1 ages ago.

I've heard that Betson............cut corners when they made it. I guess money matters over quality now

Of course money matters. They're a business. If money didn't matter, they wouldn't last very long.

You got me there. But that's really no reason to gut the machine of good quality pads. They should know that none of us here are stupid. We can tell the difference between good pads and bad pads. The more bad reviews they get, the less people will want to look to them for their products. Then what do they do?? They should consider the consumer, too.Post #7906 · Posted at 2011-08-07 05:07:43am 14.1 years ago

The difference is, they got greedy. And wanted to make even more money per unit. Do you know how much it costs in materials to make the old DDR cabinet? Not $10,000, not even close, not even if you bought everything retail. And that's what they were charging for them. But the sub-standard quality of the English DDR X cabinets has caused their plan to backfire badly. I'd be surprised, truly surprised, if since the debut of this design they've sold more than 50 all together, worldwide.
When you cut too much, you only hurt yourself. And it's not just these DDR cabinets that they treat this way. The arcade in Woodland that I'm working for has repeat problems with every Betson machine they own. You're right, they won't last very long. Not unless they change dramatically.

A group from Columbus went to the Cinci gameworks and found it. Thats where the picture came from. Said people in that group include Boltedge, Ranatalus, and Kalek. There may have been others. If people still are curious if the X2 at gameworks in Cincinnati is fully unlock or not, I can confirm it is. That was the machine I played on last month when I was in Ohio. However, I wouldnt get all excited if I were you. THe pads have gone to complete shit on both sides so enjoying any aspect of the game is pretty much null.

Greatest Idea EVERRRRRR. Let's do it. From this moment forward, we shall not play on Betson made DDR cabinets to voice our anger. Who's with me???Post #7915 · Posted at 2011-08-07 12:03:59pm 14.1 years ago

Who's with me???You're talking to someone who doesn't live anywhere near an X2 machine, and someone who can't daily visit an X2 machine even if it's around 60 to 70 miles away from his house.
Betson's cabs suck ass crack yes, but for those who don't even HAVE it in their area can't say much until they've actually tried it or have a machine disposable in their area. It's what we get and what we have to deal with *insert dealwithit .gif here*.

Okay, so maybe i was thinking irrationally, i will admit that. We have to find a way to reason with them so maybe they'll see our plight and make some changes. It's not like i'm gonna hate them for it, although it seems like i do. I'm willing to give them another shot to make it right. I'm willing to compromise for whatever will benefit the game.Post #7918 · Posted at 2011-08-07 01:47:03pm 14.1 years ago

I think my arcade may be boycotting Betson after X. Or they could just be too lazy to upgrade. Most likely the latter.
Yeah, I don't see why Betson has to overcharge for the machines. Is Konami on a contract with them or something?

We assume they are. They are aware of the issue when they apologized for the outcome of X AC.

Lol if you boycott, Konami won't take it as "oh people don't like who is manufacturing our US DDR cabinets", they'll take it as "people aren't interested in DDR anymore". But hey, if you want to kill what's left of DDR in the states...
