DDRX is just toooooo sensitive!
If you played with an energy conserving play style, you would consider being able to play with your hands a good sensitivity.Post #7863 · Posted at 2009-11-17 01:03:10pm 15.5 years ago

ok call me an idiot or whatever you want, its just my experience from playing ddr alright? i thought i'd try to share info i just learned because im from a small town where we dont get many arcade hits and such. Gameworks in minneapolis minnesota is kinda dated when it comes to ddr though, they had extreme, then they got supernova when it was brand new and then never bothered to get supernova2 and skipped to DDR X. i forgot the fact you can calibrate the songs, i haven't played gh in a long time so i forgot i calibrated that, but a lot of people just cope with the lag for now.
but the pads aren't that sensitive though like in the videos...are those newer improved pads? they look the same but if you can play it with fingers it must be way better then the one i played....couldn't even hold a freeze arrow without having to repeatedly step on the pad to get it to register....

Yes, there have been some new machines with the original X JP pad design on them, perhaps the oversensitivity will wear off with constant play on them.

Yeah, June played on that machine. I'm not completely sure if it was in Chicago because June did a little traveling recently and he hasn't told any of us where it's at. He also mentioned it was newly purchased so it can't be at Gameworks.

How convenient that they start shipping JP parts right after my arcade recieves a crap-o-cab.

Yeah, tell me about it. I don't think the places the got the crap-o-cabs are going to replace them either.

The general attitude of most of those corporate run arcades is "if it works sometimes, then it's good enough"

Even this is debateable.
I remember once, the 2P down arrow wasn't working on an EXTREME. Told the operator. He comes in, slams in $2, picks DOUBLE play, picks Cartoon Heroes Heavy, fails in ~50 steps, and announces "I don't see anything wrong with it!" and storms off.

I made a post a few pages ago about the WebEditor having songs from Extreme to X but some of the Extreme songs were missing.
That hasn't changed. Worse yet, I found that the songs in the Extreme category don't even work. (You can't play the song.)
I'm starting to wonder when I'll get the chance to make an edit for Destiny Lovers, especially since I made that post almost a month ago...

Speaking of 1 month ago, around that time I posted some edits on AIJ made with that WebEditor. It's the XBox Onis for Kind Lady, un deux trois and murmur twins, plus DDR-KOJI's AA edit (as provided in my simfile category). They still need to be selected by the Library Manager to create the final ZIP, then get placed in a "DDR_EDIT" folder on the root of your USB. I left out this last step in case someone wanted to check the edits, or add other charts with them into their library.

I would suspect that "International" means both. in fact, I wouldn't see why it wouldn't work on DDR X Japan machines running in local mode.
