I wonder how the UI would change if we're indeed getting a new mix. I really like the current one since it's pretty fast and quick

where is the new mix speculation coming from, please explain to me
Let's look at the facts:
- They had one for the 10th anniversary.
- Gitadora, jubeat, and IIDX all have announced or released new versions. And while of course these games run on much different release schedules, it's not hard to imagine Konami continuing the momentum with DDR (and Pop'n for that matter)
- Building on this, we're on the second Gitadora, second IIDX, and third jubeat since Ace released.
- It's been more than 2 years since its release, and we've had a new release every 1-2 years since SuperNOVA (using Japan release dates).

I'm sure DDR will be a new version, however i'm worried that it continues the same way than DDR A. DDR should have an innovation.
About the possibility to announce a game in console.....i don't think so, but if DDR would announce it, DDR should have carefull when choose american licences. it would be great choose a variety of licences, between american, korean and japan.
In the worst of case............happy 20th anniversary....new song!

The same place it always does - when Konami does something to acknowledge the fact that people actually play their game.

I want more DDR revivals. I wouldn't be surprised if there wouldn't be any Dancemania licenses but who knows.

The question was "where is the speculation coming from?", not "where is the irrefutable proof there is going to be a new mix?"
And I'm pretty sure every one of those statements are facts. I'm using these facts to draw a fairly logical conclusion.

If it is a new mix, how does the update work? Will we get new cabs or do they just update the current DDR As?
They'll just update the current DDR As, and probably send out new marquees/artwork.That's for Asia, things would probably work differently for US/EU.

You have it backwards. America has the latest DDR marquees, and Asia doesn't.

DESPACITO356 you mean.
Also, been meaning to say, every single update to this game has hit home, the DDR Megamix was exactly what I wanted and hit me with a wave of nostalgia, and whilst I'm trying to have my expectations though I want and expect something pretty big for the 20th anniversary. Low key hoping for a sudden location test of a new mix to happen in October purely because I'm in Japan that month aha, longest shot of them all but that's what I would kill to see!

Meme aside... If they were to include more western licenses I'd prefer if they more Pop licenses, stuff that doesn't dig too much into Electronic music. No Tears Left to Cry is a favorite of mine, though they already have an Ariana Grande song already

More like I wasn't clear. I wasn't talking about the marquee part, I was talking about the update part. EU can't be updated (at least at the moment), and I don't think US would get automatically updated to a new version.
