As I've said before, it's the 10th anniversary of IIDX. It's PARTY, not THE FINAL. In short, don't worry.

Eh, I just see it similar to the X-Specials from DDR X. Just an interesting throwback to earlier games.

Besides, would they really end IIDX with a game where the results screen has a metallic dog?

"Thank You For Playing" seemed like a sendoff.

"The Last Song" seemed ike a sendoff.

DDR had a massive send-off, to the point where the first thing they announced about their new game was that it was going to be the last one, and then over the course of the year, meticulously explained why almost every song was either a "dream collaboration", or some sort of metaphor for the death of DDR.

Look at how that turned out!

Bemani series never end with send-offs. They just end without explanation. I know Beatmania got "THE FINAL", but that was really a vehicle for the members of Des-Row to all show-case their stuff, before joining the IIDX team, and making almost the exact same game, on different hardware.

D just sounds like an awesome name for a song. Depending on what the song sounds like and what the chart looks like, it can be an abbreviation for all sorts of words!

Anyhoo, I can't wait to hear all of these new songs. This parallel rotation feels more like a pop'n unlock system than a IIDX unlock system. Kinda like the worlds in pop'n 15.

PR Empress would've been kinda redundant since the game is very recent. I was actually surprised there was even a PR DJ TROOPERS.

D seems okay, Almagest looks pretty awesome from whats in that video. Though whats with the skin when you play it? It seems like the default one except slightly more silver.

Edit: Another attempt at Almagest. Slightly clearer audio I think.

Lineouts of D and half of Almagest make them both sound awesome. Almagest is basically Yoshitaka-Suzaku vs Zektbach. Awesome but oh god please Konami make that a 13

D does sound sweet. As for Almagest, I think it's ok. Maybe I'll see a line-out of it and like it better, or maybe it will grow on me like HIMIKO did.
