In short, yes I agree. I prefer silence during gameplay. I wish that was an option in-game (like they did in most of the console releases), because yes, some people prefer an announcer at times. It might be even better if we had a choice of announcers.

I'm glad that the Summer Diary songs are coming to EXTRA ATTACK, but why on earth is it being padded out so much? Like, I would understand it being like In The Breeze one week, then all the crossover/original songs next week, and Natsuiro DIARY the week after that. But it seems like they're padding it even more than that for no readily apparent reason; it looks like the crossovers/originals are being split into two weeks.
Like, come on. Do they just not have anything else planned for DDR at the moment?

It worries me that DDR is being a little ignored and Out of Focus (Wait, I've said this before). Even DanceEvolutionARCADE seems to be more active than DDR.
Speaking of announcers, it's strange that DDR's currently the only active BEMANI game to have a male announcer, while jubeat, REFLEC BEAT, pop'n music, and I think BeatStream all have a female announcer.

4th PLUS' announcer is the same as the regular 4th mix.Only the Solo series and Extra Mix had a female announcer (and I think Ultramix too but I'm not really sure)

I think you can choose your announcer in the Ultramixes and Uni3. Not TOO sure about Ultramix 1, but I definitely remember the option coming later.

jubeat knit had a male announcer btw.
IIDX sort of had a male announcer too (by MITSURU, costing a bunch of dellar).

I don't know if it was with the original announcer or added in KONAMIX, but there's just one line that I can't remember exactly how it went, but it was the funniest thing ever. It was something like "I see a dream in your dance! I see tomorrow in your dance! We'll call it: Our hope." I loved how he usually wasn't an donkey like all the announcers after him, he was just so freaking funny and told people who failed a lot, just practice son, no harsh remarks. He may as well be the Shia Labeouf of DDR! Meanwhile the current one is just a complete jerk. I miss the cliche silly announcer of the olden days. I bet you thought I was going to swear in those spoilers hahahah wow im funny cuz i didintt xd wit

People have gotten so accustomed to events that if there arent any theyll start saying DDR is dead and whatnot. What's stopping them from rolling out a big update full of songs and a new interface (which is honestly way overdue) or even hosting a location test for a new cabinet? It doesnt always have to be events. Then again I could be wrong. Why have a whole new cabinet ie they just had the location test for the american version? Oh well, i just feel if there is so much silence that something big is coming...

OBJECTION!!!4thMIX plus is still using to Thomas Howard. Solo Bass mix and Solo 2000 are 2 known games that announcer was a girl.

Ultramix 2 has Melissa Hutchinson and (again) Jacob Thompson Female and Male
