Well, if someone didn't saw BeNama today, tomorrow begins the EXTRA ATTACK x Bemani Summer Diary Event: One song for the the Summer Diary event will be on the EXTRA ATTACK weekly (yeah, we have about 6 week to unlock all the song), and this week begins with In the Breeze (Anyone correct me: In the Breeze was unlocked by default or something?)

Not all UMU songs. LoveLove DokiDoki and MITOれて！いばらきっしゅだ～りん will be remaining(because they were composed by bemani musicians)

Don't mind me, im happy to see that, but all the U.M.U. stuff are like half of the DDR2014 songlist... and the space they left is huge.
Maybe is time for new songs? transplanted songs? new event? the end of DDR? ... who knows

In The Breeze is unlocked by playing 1 credit of any arcade during the BEMANI SUMMER DIARY event.
So basically, if you didn't play a single credit during July to August, you need to unlock it through EXTRA ATTACK.

I'm sure everyone wants to know that; I wouldn't be surprised if R1 and DnB's are in an arms race for timed exclusivity at this point; I could be (hopefully) wrong on this, but I wouldn't be shocked if that's the case.

Anyways, DDR 2013 songs that came out 9 months after it was released were moved to the 2014 folder, so that might happen again if they go for a 2015 folder. Going by that, and how the 2014 folder already has more songs than 2013, all songs starting from POSSESSION (EDP Live Mix) might be moved to 2015 folder if they make one.
Also, every five main releases they change the announcer. Might they do the same for 2015? I hope it's a girl with a slightly urban sound, moreso than Solo/Extra Mix. Also change the background music pleeeeease.

She yells "WOO COME ON" or "'Are you up for the challenge?" too much though.

I was thinking the same days back. The announcer from the solo series was amazing, but she had only a few lines. If DDR launch a new mix i hope they abandon the announcer they have, and make a new female one (with the pitch similar to the rb and IIDX announcers).
Also about the songs, i suppose we need to wait until this new event ends. The thing is they trying to launch more songs from bemani summer diary weekly, so this gonna end soon, like 2 weeks more. After that i hope they bring us some decent news about this game, not like the "one song per week, focusing mainly on Hinabitter".

It's an unlock system. I don't know all of its specifics, but I do know that it's a folder that is accessible only by accessing Extra Stage. In this folder are songs that you haven't unlocked for normal play. You can choose a song to play, the difficulty level may or may not be restricted, depending on the song. Like any Extra Stage, you have 4 lives. There is a "survived meter" for each song. If you survive the whole song, you will unlock it for normal play. If you fail in the middle at some point, the "survived meter" will only fill up partway and you'll have to take another stab or two or three at it to unlock it.For some songs, like Replicant-D-Action songs and Idola, you have to unlock each chart separately.

Better yet, no announcer! ...okay I don't mind the announcer on the menus and before you actually start stepping on the arrows, but having someone yell over the music every 10 seconds with lines that got old before they were even stated is just stupid in a rhythm game. I don't care what they do with the next announcer (hopefully a lot less annoying of one), but he/she better talk WAYYYYYYY less than the current one.
