I got to play one of the Electrocoin UK DDRX machines this weekend. If anyone has the chance to get to Manchester, they should definately give it a try. It's not at all like I imagined it to be.
If anyone still cares :
The stages appear to be a single Doubles stage, as opposed to being two 1-player stages bolted together. It's a completely flat surface across both pads, and the panels are completely flush with the surface. The panels don't press down at all, when you step on them, they just activate when you put any pressure on the surface. The cabinet is absolutely amazing for playing doubles, because you can slide across both sides of the stage, without there being any raised edges or screws along the way.
I tried playing with the bar, but it seemed like a waste of energy. Because the stages are so smooth, it's easier to just play without a bar, and slide your feet from panel to panel (Like in Pump).
You can press all 4 panels at the same time, with 2 feet.
I tried pressing the panels with my little finger, and they registered every time. Wherever you put pressure on the panel, it will register. There are no "dead spots" around the edges.
The panels are more responsive than the japanese cabinets, because they register the milisecond that any part of your foot touches the panel, wheras I'm used to placing my foot on the panel, and pressing down. It meant all my steps were a lot earlier, and it took a few credits to get used to, before I was getting consistant AA's on songs I was used to playing.
The announcer isn't any louder, or more frequent than the DDR EXtreme announcer, although the samples are longer, so it might seem that way. The announcer disables itself completely, on the Extra Stage and One More Extra Stage. It might disable itself on Oni courses and Final Stage as well, but I only noticed he was missing, half way through an Extra Stage. I didn't really notice him the rest of the time.
I can see what people mean when they say there ist "screen lag". The perfect window feels a bit different, and there's no longer a huge advantage to using speed mods to "sight read" the arrows. It now seems like it's a lot more down to your own rhythm, and takes a lot more skill to AAA songs.
Stelisevil cleared the OMES on his first credit on the Electrocoin cabinet, although he said he was getting higher scores on japanese cabinets.
I cleared Pluto Relinquish (Heavy), Saga (Doubles Heavy) and Arabbiatta (Doubles Heavy) on my first 3 credits. (And I'm not very good). I think that the new stage makes the game so much easier to play, that every song is between 1 to 3 foot ratings easier on an Electrocoin cabinet, than on a Japanese or Upgraded cabinet.
I got to play Mattress 300, which was really fun. I got to the freeze in the middle, and I really want to pass it, next time I go to Manchester!

Can someone check if there's some sort of unlock icon on the DDR X title screen? It will give us an indication whether the unlocks are split into levels again like SuperNOVA2.

I played to day. Pretty much everything is unlocked. Costumes, accessory's, characters, mods, x specials and all the courses.
It takes a long time to get through the unlock screen today...
Also will get videos of the remaining x-specials. I did Kakumei today on single (PFC) cause I thought the other video on youtube was bad quality. I'll do the same for Maxx tomorrow. I tried it once today. GEZZ its SO HARD. I not sure If my video will even be a AA tomorrow
i need practice.

Dr.D> Any offsync songs in X that you know about? You know, stuff like [extreme] D2R, Hyper Eurobeat or (god forbid) [sn] Xepher?

Corey. Xepher still feels a little off to me. Besides that there really isn't too many songs badly off. Also I'm a bad person to ask this to. I always manage to deal with syncing and hardly notice when things are off, or at least to the point of the above mention.
Also, I'm pretty sure that through e-amuse songs are routinely maintenance with patches to fix syncing.
Videos up. Not sure if I should embed them so I'll just link them this time.
Paranoia Evolution X-Special AAA/PFC
Max Unlimited X-Special AA HD DDR X AC
I think thats the first clear video of Maxx Unlimited X-Special so I hope who ever makes the step charts can look through that and make any necessary changes if any are needed.

Regarding URL http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/viewthread.php?threadid=1265&page=386 , post number 7715, this is the answer to it.
Regarding URL http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/viewthread.php?postid=127728 , post numbers 7484 and 7488,
Thank you for the information about the score range of each performance grades of each difficulties, as stated in the URL http://voiddd.com/wiki/index.php?DanceDanceRevolutionSuperNOVA2 . However, it does not state the score range for each performance grades for difficulties "Beginner" and "Challenge" in normal game play and when the player is in "NonStop" and/or "Challenge" mode.
When in "NonStop" and/or "Challenge" mode, what is the score range for each performance grades for each difficulty (Except for "E")?
I'm thinking about the following if it is correct (And the player is in normal game play not in either "NonStop" or "Challenge" mode).
1.) The score range for each performance grades for difficulty "Beginner" is the same as that of the score range for each performance grades for difficulty "Basic".
2.) The score range for each performance grades for difficulty "Challenge" is the same as that of the score range for each performance grades for difficulty "Expert".
If it does, then the complete list for the score range for each performance grades in each difficulties are as follows.
Common to all difficulties
AAA : 990,000 to 1,000,000
AA : 950,000 to 989,990
E : Not applicable. Player has failed his/her performance. That is, his/her life gauge went empty in "Final stage" or earlier or his/her last 1 life (In 4 life gauge) was taken away during "Extra stage" or "Encore extra stage".
For difficulties
Beginner and
Basic...
A : 800,000 to 949,990
B : 700,000 to 799,990
C : 500,000 to 699,990
D : 0 to 499,990
For difficulty
Difficult...
A : 850,000 to 949,990
B : 750,000 to 849,990
C : 600,000 to 749,990
D : 0 to 599,990
For difficulties
Expert and
Challenge...
A : 900,000 to 949,990
B : 800,000 to 899,990
C : 700,000 to 799,990
D : 0 to 699,990
Regarding X-special songs. It's too bad for us that the product development team of Konami in charge of DDR X did not classify the X-special songs under the series title "DDR X" after all songs are completely unlocked lately via online update. I do not know if their next edition of DDR will classify the X-special songs under the series title "DDR X" or it will be the same as that of DDR X.
