I can understand his annoyance but his thoughts of wishing it wasn’t popular where he was seems counter intuitive because they wouldn’t keep the machine?

Regardless meanwhile over here in the UK I’m just glad I can get a go on a ddr a once every few months so it is really irritating to see people complaining they can’t have lots of credits on it every night or whatever their frequency for playing is. Maybe it’ll result in more machines getting sold if it’s as busy as it seems over there ?

I agree wholeheartedly. It shouldn't be the arcade's obligation to make you a priority just because you're the best player in the world. A lot of people who go to that arcade probably really want to play that game and don't get to go often.

I mean...for as long as Chris has played the game, for as serious and dedicated as he is about his game/sport, for as often as he seems to have the money to travel around the US/world to play in tournaments...you'd think he'd have just purchased his own machine at this point. Honestly not even sure whether the DDR A cabs can be purchased for private use. If anything, just toss the songs onto an ITG 2 dedicab for practice on those days where the arcade experience of having to wait for other people to get off a public machine is just that unbearable. Not really knocking him though, I get what he's saying and I've had my share of impatient moments with having to wait forever to get on a machine to play. Even still, I do my best to not appear selfish or possessive of something that isn't even mine to begin with.

Anyway, I'd love to even play DDR A just once. The closest Round 1 is in Atlanta and I'm not driving 5-6 hours just to play a game lol. I've tried to convince Margaritaville Resort here in Biloxi, MS to look into getting DDR A buuuuut there seems to be some exclusivity thing with the game and Dave & Buster's as well as Round 1. So oh well.

I think it's not more about sportsmanship, it's more that it's basic arcade etiquette, I'm pretty sure no one likes people who hogs the arcade for themselves (because really, it's doesn't belong to someone in particular except the arcade's owner for obvious reasons)

Maybe he could try getting a cab for himself like other people have done?

The California scene is HUGE, which leads to long wait times despite having more cabs than anywhere else in the US. If I had to wait an hour or two between sets, I would be discouraged too.
