Naoki talked about this year's DDR Wii on Facebook.

Keep in mind, Konami produces these games in order to make money. They won't just produce games for a such a small market and the console market for bemani games is dwindling. I believe DDR on the Wii is Konami's strongest market for the CS versions scene.

Their software supports e-Amusement. Konami's clearly given up (or won't allow it..) if the market is US, EU, or China.

To add to what Daiz said, no, Konami (KOJ) isn't in immediate financial trouble since they have their hands in many pies, including owning the largest health club chain in Japan (XAX, XVX, however it is spelled with the upside down A). They are also into music, anime, and related media. The economy here isn't that great at all still, but they are better off financially than most. Sales of the console/portable games has been lackluster at best (confirmed with all those mediacreate top 10+ weekly software sales; you're lucky to see a music game in there after launch week when it first comes out. There is still a sizable arcade going market but they just aren't that popular at home.

I've been hoping for a location test announcement of X3 lately. We are almost a month away from when X2 was released a year ago.

The Pre-E3 show is tomorrow, and the next console DDRs should be announced there.

I don't think there will be an X3 (it will be a other name).

But if it happend : DDR X3 Hello Kitty style
With the first 20 feet : Pluto Revolved, 245bpm stream with crossovers and insane random stops that makes no sence.


Anyway, if the make a new arcade, we need 4 things (at least) :
- Better edit system. Please remove this crappy web editor. Allow us to make chart with with 24th/32th and other arrow type. Also, make the edits region free.
- Good charts. If you can't make any good 18, stop doing them, we don't need crap like this.
- Better use of shocks arrows. Stop the "Eh you have to jump off the panel it's so funny yeah yeah".
- US/EU DDR CAB THAT WORKS FINE FOR ONCE... seriously, so far there is 3 DDRX2 in France. All of those seems to be upgrade of DDRX1 and have the awesome drift issue.
