Why is it that i can AAA Ubetreffen Expert but still can not master the steps of On The Break with a personal best of around 945,000? In other news I AAA X-Mix 4 Basic-Expert.
How many other US Players here, besides Dr. D in Taiwan have E-Amuse accounts? I would ask the Japanese players residing on this board but I'm pretty sure most of them don't speak too much english, at least that's how it is where i'm at in Okinawa.

Stating an opinion on a message board is considered a crime?

And Al, it's obvious that the effort you and others have put into reaching Konami about these issues have had a positive result already. In the end Konami will do what Konami wants to do, but no one can say that you haven't made a difference. Thank you.

Good good.
Just a bump for the September 3rd unlock. Something did start in Japan, it was the monthly MARVELOUSTAR rankings which only can be viewed on Japanese cellphones for the time being. Go to 2009.9.4 on http://mieya.cool.ne.jp/ for pictures.

BRAVO! You are going from 0 to +5 just because you seem to be the only one here that caught on to why this bothers me so much. Everyone else, take notes. Xavious just became the smartest man on this thread.
Thank you, but I don't know how I feel about being your partner in crime here. Al and Oni might never speak to me again... >_>
And Aaron, what you've said there reeks a little of "None of you agree with me therefore you are all dumb because I'm right." Not saying it's what you intended to do, but...
Anyway, now for what I actually came for. Now that we've seen that Konami UK is actually capable of doing an OK machine (for starters, it's playable!), I've become a bit more hopeful about the next release. If Konami can smooth out the creases of what has been a pretty mediocre mix for the next one, cut the non-Japanese market some slack, and sort out the machine once and for all, this next mix could be great.
Or, they don't and it doesn't. How the hell should I know?

Stating an opinion on a message board is considered a crime?

I was partly joking though I do, however, have a history of sticking up for those who are unpopular or have unpopular opinions, sometimes out of pity and because I feel sorry that the whole forum seems to be set against them. Doing this has made me fairly unpopular myself on many forums and I was bracing myself for the same thing happening again here.
So... yeah.
EDIT:

You're still cool, just get your ass in the chat more.
Eh, not sure about that one. I'm OK on the forum because I have time to think and work out what I want to say and edit accordingly. I actually sound almost intelligent on here, but when chatting and saying whatever I can think up at that moment I tend to say stupid things and come off as a bit of an idiot. Just warning you...

Perhaps it does, I can understand that but I also understand his frustration. As a European DDR player knowing what Konami are like I DO understand his frustration.

I don't think anyone knows or could predict what might happen next. More than anything, Konami have proved to be quite unpredictable.

It's not a big deal if the 'whole forum' is against me. And if you're sticking up for me for the sake of it instead of truly sharing my opinion I'd rather hear what you really think. That's what these forums are for. Not politics, not personal attacks, for sharing and hearing opinions. I'd be nice if instead of people going "ur wrong, stupid" they countered with actual thought of their own... and the few that do get pissed off when I counter back and stop talking or go "ur wrong, stupid". Oh well, I've been playing DDR for seven years and I wasn't a kid when I started. It shouldn't surprise me so much when 90 percent of the people here aren't even in my age bracket anymore.

Regarding the bolded part: I am sorry if I have mislead you into thinking that I didn't at least partly share your view and feel your pain because I do. I was mostly explaining how I felt about sharing unpopular views on a forum, it doesn't always do very much for your credibility and on this forum especially all I need is a big enough negative rating bombing and I could easily be banned.
I agree with you on the "oh shut up, stop whining" posts, they are very unhelpful and often lack any decent grammar. They can disagree with your posts till kingdom come but at least yours are nicely presented and well argued, which I appreciate.

Konami: We really don't want you to think about the pads WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE USB?!?!?
LOOK! LOOK! USB, OVER HERE! HEY, LOOK AT THIS, no those are pads that's not important, USB!!!

Konami knows that the sync, the usb, edits, eAmuse and such are important but second in concern to the fundamental playability of DDR X. Sadly, and more sadly expected of them, they are willing to expend the maximum amount of effort to make the least amount of improvement to the pads.
That whole private invite read like a mob boss putting his arm over your shoulder and saying "Ya know we're very concerned when you're not happy... so here's what we're willing to do for ya. We'll give you a new software update that you can't even tell the difference between and tell everyone how to use USB if you say that the pads are improved even though we just muddled over that problem and that the game is perfectly fine by this, eh, 'update'. You think you can do that for us?"
With every response to this train wreck of a release Konami digs deeper and deeper a hole and proves they clearly don't care.
Konami -5 (again)

Bring the entire dance stage unit on all North American and European dedicated cabinets up to spec with the Japanese counterparts or release upgrade kits for existing DDR machines in (Local and imported) so that we don't have to settle for your sub-standard construction and terrible level of quality.
Maybe if you don't totally fuck up the next release you might still have an audience. Thank you.

Not to derail the derailing of this thread, but this is the original reply that got me irked at Aeron. This post is like watching an exgirlfriend hold her hands to her ears and screaming "LA LA LA I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO MAKE IT BETTER, I'M NOT GOING TO FORGIVE YOU, LA LA LA.". You showed no optimism in the fact Konami pulled this event when no one expect them to, instead you folded your arms together and went "hmph!" It's not the fact that Aeron expressed a different opinion, it's the fact that he simply refuses to see any positive aspects of the meeting other than al et al were making an impact.
This kind of attitude is what gets on my nerves. You can have an opinion all you like, but don't ignore when Konami has done a good thing.
And before you respond, I won't ignore when Konami has done a bad thing. Yes, the release was botched. They should have did some beta testing with the new design. But hey ya know what, they didn't. You can continue to fold your arms and cry foul, but I'm sure the rest of us are anxiously awaiting to move on and get a playable DDR X out to everyone so we can enjoy our beloved rhythm game.

If Al, after witnessing why, decides to ban me (or anyone) just because enough people bomb their rating...

What irks me is why people can't say how they really feel in the first place. It takes driving people to desperation, like they thought frankness would never work but are now willing to try anything.
I get you now, because you've now told me why you have a problem with my argument. Again, a healthy rant, letting it out to the dismay of people who wanted a tidy discussion. And to see how people would react. I knew the reaction of the ones who can't talk things out to save their life but I was also hoping for a genuine discussion or even a healthy debate or two.

Even though it remains to be seen if DanceDanceRevolution (2009) will be linked to next arcade installment. With Naoki at the helm I'm curious to see what DDR is going to become as well. I haven't lost faith in DanceDanceRevolution, what I don't trust is how Konami will handle its release in the future. DDR X is an awesome game, I finally got to play it in the arcade with a visit to Singapore. Even on an old upgraded 3rdMIX that had wires everywhere on the beat up old cabinet to support USB and eAmuse, I had fun. It's not the production of the series that has me worried, DDR is stronger than ever, it's who those producers have to hand their hard work off to to see it released. I can only imagine how THEY feel about the way this one was handled. Hopefully this fiasco isn't a sign of things to come... but if it is, there are things that the humble player can do. This has been proof of that.
Also, will someone give Bolt Edge a hug?

When Electrocoin give the machine (and updated software) a large enough release, is it possible to have a seperate"DanceDanceRevolution X (Europe) thread, so we can discuss the actual, finished, European game, without all the talk of Betson / cabinets / pads / promises made to Americans, and general complaining?
I really want to enjoy this game when I get to play it, and talk about it with like-minded people on the internet, but it's really hard, when 75% of the thread is just negative comments from people who have never even played the game in any sort of arcade form.

I have no idea what Electrocoin are charging, and what distributors are putting on-top of that.
I think Phoenix will have at least one (upgrade kit) cabinet within a few days to weeks, probably selling for around £5,000?
Phoenix will almost definately beat Electrocoin to the punch, in terms of getting the first perfectly playable cabinet, but they might also keep their DDRX cabinets in their own arcades, to draw in BeMani players over the winter, and switch them to massive seaside resorts for the next summer, or sell them to BeMani fans, to get the maximum profit out of their investment.

Was it you that mentioned Electrocoin before? I had asked if they were even part of the cabinet manufacturing process anymore and never got an answer.
