I finally got to play SMX today. I had fun but I'm not sure how I feel about the center panel over all. Probably just the learning curve, my brain wasn't immediately registering it every time I saw it. I do like how the center panel is recessed, I wasn't sure how being off that panel with the foot I wasn't stepping with would work, but it works well. But its familiar enough that I was able to play on Hard and Wild on my first set. I'm gonna have to try it again next time I'm at Round1.

It does take some getting used to, much like how I took approximately five lifetimes to finally get used to how to actually read and play Pump after only playing DDR and ITG for years and years.

Yeah I tried learning Pump back in the day and that was rough. I haven’t tried it in years but I’m sure I have absolutely no muscle memory left for that and would have to start over entirely if I wanted to learn it again.
