I know, things are looking bad to me. The regular players at Gameworks Tempe are not to happy. All the vets of DDR know what they are missing, so it just sucks knowing you are still playing so much and getting great scores, and you dont get those cool new songs.
Its like working with no pay, not cool.
I cant wait until they get e-muse. And is it anything like the initail D card system?

who said they were getting e-amuse? You need to be chosen.
also ya, its like the initial d card system, except this has a little more amount of features, you get your unlocks, your songs, score saves, and calorie(s) lost.

I played Arrabbiata Standard on GZ's r23 the other day, and it's really freakin tiring. If I didn't think to switch feet in places, or if those pads were recessed, that would've been hell. I'd say it was more draining than Konoko Heavy.

no problem. You just got to remember that the location has to be chosen.

yeah, cause no one ever goes to MGL... CnC also was pretty active until they stopped taking care of their pads.

I love MGL, but its a lil bit out of my way, and its just too oddly placed. I wish there were a bigger arcade somewhere in Scottsdale, Fiddlesticks dont count at all, Niether does cracker jax. Dave and Busters is ok, but to many drunk people, and also NO DDR!!! whats with that.
Next song on my list to beat is Maxx Unlimited. How...i cant..well I use my body way to much when i play, so i tire myself out when playing. I have been trying that quick step technique, but it aint working.
Man Uranus is such a cool song, i want to play that song so bad. along with the Dynamite Rave Air special, i love jumps in songs. I love Drop out. Felm Oni is out of my leauge for now...song seems impossible

you guys are acting like $100 a month is impossible to pay. I had gamefly and it was $45 a month, and at age 16 I could afford that, and I am sure many arcades could afford $100 a month, I mean its their own business, of course they can make enough money to cover that cost, no problem! |
100 bucks a month isnt a lot, but for a cheap ass gameworks who wont even fix an older Extreme pad (yay they finally repaired the SN2 cab!!) it seems like a lot. Though, i spend over 100 a month at gameworks, just at SN2, so i guess it would pay for itself. (Not counting the other ddr players/friends who go weekly)
@ Jump Jump - FELM Oni isnt impossible, it just takes practice (ALOT OF IT!!). But when you get down Maxx Unlimited, you will be closer to getting it. Say, do you use the bar?
(Motivation, lol, though i can pass expert, i havent tried Oni, i wonder if its anything like FAXX's oni chart... If so, then i take back that mini paragraph

I try and use the bar, but i injured my elbow a while back so it bothers me when i use it. Cant hold on very long, starts to hurt. I guess there are songs that I just wont be able to play . But I play for the fun of it anyway. I will try Felm expert one day, just to see how I do.
Chaos expert is easy, its just those stops with the jump that get me.
I love Giri Gili, such a fun song to play
O yea, and they re-rated Mind Parasite to an 8 intead of a 6...which it deserves an 8

Trust me- From managing an arcade, $100 a month is NOTHING.

goemon4: FELMO's middle has 400BPM step-jumps out the wazoo. The "Chaos" section is a lot easier, though.

I Hope so, because i want my Gameworks to get an e-amuse soooooo badly!!! (As does everyone though)

@ TimeSpaceMage - As long as it isn't FAXX Oni, because that is just nuts!! Though, taking into account i JUST passed FELM on Expert, i doubt i will be passing it on challenge any time soon

@ Jump Jump - That sucks, but i guess it will just make ya a better player. From experience, i became a lot better playing without the bar for a month or so, than with. You get better stamina and what not, and any song is possible. I remember watching this kid on youtube C Paranoia Hades (Oni) on an ignition pad (no bar) So things like that can be done.

Well, if it is truly $100/month, it shouldn't be too bad.
However, what is the cost for the machines themselves?

You can check this over at Betson's site.

Oh, Gameworks can no doubt afford $100 a month. I manage a small family owned arcade thats tiiiiiiiny compared to Gameworks and if we can afford it, no doubt they can.

I wasn't talking about the ddr machine itself, I was only talking about the e-amusement machines.

Good to know, i wonder if Gameworks will be working in a system though, since i know alot are getting upgraded SN cabs (to SN2). Like if they are waiting for all of them to have it, then installing the e-amuse or something, i dont know, lol. I just want them to get it so i can play the planet songs!!! (That and so i can spend more time playing
