The codes should work as long as you step and step off. But if you have misfiring pads or dead sensors / sticky yellow buttons... you'd have a grand time inputing in the codes. Yeah took us like 20 tries to do one code on a particular cabinet. Yeah, no. Don't keep pressing an arrow or touch anything other then the code you need to input. Once you @#$% up, start over. Timing nothing. I remember jamming on the pad and unlocking an X code in a few seconds. Down x 16 times or something. That was an easy input.

As for the Asian e-amuse I've only heard of like a handful of arcades in the entire Asian countries have it. I believe theres like 2 or 3 places in Australia (as I recall from another forum, could be mistaken). Haven't heard anything about the Philippines having it.

So, we press only the arrow for that sequence and nothing else? There's also the step them with Marvelous timing or 4th note beat that were also suggested to us at the arcade.

The pads are great, but I don't think the 1P down arrow didn't feel like sticking when we were trying the code.

Wow... Full Marvelous Combo a code? Unless they changed it to something as stupid as that shouldn't make a difference. Plus what the heck are you tapping 4th beats to? Bpm of the intro song lol.

1. Step on, step off, next input, repeat.
2. Make sure you inserted a credit and input the code on the intro (banner of the X2) not the how to play or demo song.
3. If you mess up start over. If you miss the intro, wait 2 minutes or insert another credit.
4. If you did it correctly there should be a marker by the upper right part of the screen. Probably saying like level 1 in a circle, usually looks like the edit on circle. (Should still be the same get up as X and SN2)
5. Until Konami fixes that damn Asian cabinet problem, you'd be screwed if you got one.

As much as I want to relay your information to the group on my sig, I just read the 5th instruction/note. Yeah, may be worthless to try again if that were true.

Thanks for the tips, though.

Yeah I feel sorry for you guys with the Asian cabinets without the e-amuse system. I actually wouldn't doubt that the problem will be resolved via a CD or something. So pray for Konami to say something about it soon.

Damn lucky guys even have a machine within a 1000 mile radius of you. Lol Hawaii is jealous of every one of you. As for a clear cut example, like a vid... If we get one, I can ask the guy who's running the arcade to take a vid on his iphone. If the game ever comes in.

Well, it is undeniable that one of two machines is quite near, like 1 bus ride away. I just don't think too much into that.

Any Northern California sightings yet? We usually get a new version within 3 months of release.

I don't want to travel to Southern California or Seattle if I don't have to. Confused

I remember during X, 2 out of the 4 location in Singapore (eamuse enabled) couldn't update the patch properly. (Zone X)
The arcade crew seek for help from Konami, & they gave them a thumbdrive to manually update the patch. That's what i heard from the technician.
So what i guess is, maybe Konami could solve the problem by giving out the thumbdrive patch like what they did to X.

From the sounds of this, unlock codes were not planned from the start for DDR X2 like DDR SN2 and DDR X globally... Neutral

Well. Since 2007, our amusement has acquired a beatmania IIDX GOLD and it's on BEAT FREE. But unfortunately, the HD of our IIDX GOLD has malfunctioned. Sad (I assume the HD has been connected to e-amuse before that's why it's on BEAT FREE)

Since IIDX did not meet the satisfaction of the amusement center, they have no plans of upgrading it to DJ TROOPERS or above. Instead, They just replaced the old HD with a new IIDX GOLD HD but sadly, it's now only on BEAT #1 Sad

Well, it's better to still have IIDX than never.

Still hoping for KONAMI to release a patch for DDR X2 and hopefully, that patch will unlock all songs. Sad

Wait, this means.. I think Machines with eAmuse off will have possibility of getting APPEND FESTIVAL songs. But maybe ONLY when you contacted KONAMI for the thumbdrive..

Dear KONAMI, we need a downloadable patch like PIU. It's more flexible, isn't it?

Any response from Konami bout that patch? And I thought the Append Festival songs were timed released/accessible only via e-amuse hence Japan and select Asian countries.

Side question: What's your guys version? Top string of numbers on the top during the main X2 screen. Wondering if you folks have different cab versions which are causing the access of the codes or not. If there is an Asian cabinet that has had the codes work.

"BEEJAY REVEL A"
I thought the Append Festival songs were already proven to be downloaded from the e-amuse network? I remember someone saying someone checked the data files and said all the songs found on it were all ones we knew of pre-Append Festival.

Theory of Eternity was downloaded to X2 machines via eAmuse.
