Ah dang man that sucks. Hope you have an uneventful move aside from actually moving though. I was just curious to know how it was doing since that's the arcade where I got interested in Bemani games and learned more about the other games in the series. When I was living there, I was only 11-12 at the time but it was the only time I saw Bemani games other than DDR at the time. At the time they had Drummania 3rdMIX, Guitar Freaks 4thMIX, Beatmania IIDX 7th Style (new at the time), Keyboardmania (forgot what version). They also had some sit-down Street Fighter 2 cabs and other fun games as well as that one Konami police shooter game with the motion detection and a boxing game where you hit these pads that pop out. Oddly enough, they didn't have ANY DDR cabs in there.

*On Topic*

Where ever you end frequenting in Cali, have fun with DDR X2 AC (US). You might be frustrated on our pads as they tend to... well suck. Especially after playing with those sweet Japanese pads.

Just called nickel city and they have an ITG 2 machine with upgraded songs. Better have usb access for my X2 needs. Really not a big fan of ITG songs anymore. The new ddr coming from japan is just more enjoyable.

Let's see
Jubeat Knit, IIDX 18, SSFIV, Tekken 6.5, DM&GF V8, DDR X2(of course), DJ MAX Technica 2, Reflec Beat, Taiko 14, Pop & Music, WM MT 3 DX, Initial D AA Stage 6 etc.... oh and Gundam Wing Pods.

Guys with the Asian cabinets: You inputing it correctly? One step, OFF THE ARROW, next step, repeat. This doesn't bode well if you guys did. The X/SN2 codes worked all regions. My arcade, I pray, did not take my advice and upgrade the Asian X.

I tried both ways: I stopped trying to input the code with both feet when I realised it might accidentally trigger an arrow twice. Thanks for the heads-up regardless.

Still no response from Konami regarding this issue. Dead

I'm hoping KONAMI will just release a patch to unlock Asian cabinets.
Maybe we can play I'm so Happy and Theory of Eternity when that happens.

uh well because Japan isn't supposed to have Technika 2, let alone an online one. (If it really is online, is it connected to International Plat Crew, Korea Plat Crew, or China(PRC) Plat Crew?)

Are you sure it's not Technika 1? Because KONAMI is supposed to have distribution rights in Japan due to lawsuit settlements / etc. and they're still on 1. Unless this is a location test or something?

sorry for going off-topic al2k4 >_>

I just got back from the arcade I go to which has X2. A player I met there said that a patch may be needed for Asian cabinets for it to accept the first unlock code.

The arcade owner going out of their way to find and apply a patch is a big question.

And yes, the unlock code didn't work.

From the sounds of this, unlock codes were not planned from the start for DDR X2 like DDR SN2 and DDR X globally... Neutral

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU~

It's weird. I thought Konami was good about that. Oh wait, beta drifting, non-existent SN unlock codes, multiple CD patches with SN, crap compatibility with edit data, etc. /rant But seriously, that's a major issue noting that most of the Asia countries have Asian cabinets. *cough obvious* They are already knocked down a song from the US release. They were pretty good with the SN2 and X releases too. I'm just surprised that they'd drop the ball like that.

The music may have been good. But cabinet/overall game problems are here to stay, apparently.

This "asian machine not accepting unlock codes" thing is new.

O.K., so now I understand why the Unlock code 1 was so good and had more songs than usual. It doesn't work. Annoyed
Seriously, though, while Konami has given Asian machines full unlocks, people here in the U.S. don't even get an unlock code until everything's unlocked, and even then IT DOESN'T WORK!

edit- oh, that was for an Asian machine. Maybe it will work on U.S. cabinets.

Wawawawa-wait! do you mean that unlock codes aren't working there too?

I've said that the unlock codes may have been made with the non-asian and japanese versions in mind (because some parts of asia also have e-amuse). But do you mean to say that it also doesn't work on your US (I'm assuming) DDR X2 machine?

I don't know, I haven't tried them, but if they don't work over there, they're probably not going to work here. If they do, great. However, this is something we should expect from Konami. It sucks that it doesn't work over there. Maybe it will work here. If someone tries Unlock Code 1 in the US, can they say if it works or not

I haven't heard of anyone successfully inputting the unlock code on the DDR machines. What we have heard, is a machine that is crosswired and accepts input from the cabinet buttons when the arrows on the PLATFORM are stepped.

P.S. I'm not angry.

The unlock codes work in the US. I just went to Jacksonville Florida's DDR X2 yesterday and played the unlocks that were just put in yesterday. It is just really difficult to input them because of the crappy sensors.

Confirmed unlocks:

Song Sky Is The Limit / Sota F. feat.Anna *
Song All My Love / kors k feat.ЯIRE *
Song CG Project / Latenighters *
Song WH1TE RO5E / Y&Co. *
Song Decade / kors k Vs. dj TAKA *
Song in love wit you / Kotaro feat. Aya
Song real-high-SPEED / Makoto feat. SK
Song FIRE FIRE / StripE *
Song Dummy / RAM
Song Your Angel / DM Ashura feat. kors k *
Song GOLD RUSH / DJ YOSHITAKA-G feat.Michael a la Mode *
Song DROP / dj TAKA feat.Kanako Hoshino *
Course Sakura Street *
Course DIVA & best
Course Boss Rush X2 *
Course SPEED MASTER
Course DDR ARCHIVES *
Course DANCE DRILL COURSE 11
Course DANCE DRILL COURSE 12

All the ones marked with an * I played yesterday. I didn't bring my camera though because I didn't have anyone else with me and didn't want to lose it.

It was really annoying trying to play Boss Rush X2 because I kept failing halfway through Kimono Princess due to the 4-bar system and the sensors.

I'd hate to ask again without looking, but what songs are in Boss Rush X2?

Also how to input the unlock code properly. Someone was suggesting we do the steps in a 4th-note style fashion, but we aren't sure of that (as is the "keep stepping the up arrow when pressing the yellow buttons").
