@yindesu: How come it changes speed modifiers during gameplay???? The speed modifer changing should be locked by the time arrows start to appear.
But my experiences confirm that the speed mods do NOT lock by the time the arrows start to appear. Each song seems to have a different lock time, but all of them are at least one full measure (4 beats / red arrows) after the first arrow.
and they change because Betson cabinets suck.
geez, and from that video you've shared to us , I can agree that it sucks big time.

@King of Light: Does the title screen says number 1 at the upper right of the screen?
Not him, but I'll field it. ^^ It has a nice little circle with a star in it clearly showing the number 1 in roughly the upper right depending on if the 'Edit On' or other features are enabled.
Edit: Also, those at Round 1 have my condolences. ^^"

Yes it does, right under the "Edits On" icon

Wow. I wonder why the icons on the upper right of our DDR X2 screen doesn't show the EDIT ON and the JOINT PREMIUM icons... But I can tell you they're turned on.

I'll post some pictures later to for you to see.

Guys with the Asian cabinets: You inputing it correctly? One step, OFF THE ARROW, next step, repeat. This doesn't bode well if you guys did. The X/SN2 codes worked all regions. My arcade, I pray, did not take my advice and upgrade the Asian X.

I tried both ways: I stopped trying to input the code with both feet when I realised it might accidentally trigger an arrow twice. Thanks for the heads-up regardless.
Still no response from Konami regarding this issue.

Moving back to San Diego after living 3 years in Okinawa, Japan. Enjoyed the fact that I got to play on awesome DDR X & DDR X2 machines a block from my apartment with little to no lines(DDR is kinda dead). I heard of a few DDR X2 Machines in California but I'm pretty sure my E-amuse won't transfer over. And if the pads are that bad stateside I might as well retire until they finally get a proper machine. On a side note I love the new song Theory of Eternity got all AAA my first try on each difficulty.

As of now...
1) the closest DDRX2 to you would be the one at Gameworks Ontario, which costs a lot and has low volume.
2) next closest DDRX2 is the one at Round1 (hahahahahahahahahahahaha)
I'd stay in Japan if I were you. Or start playing Pump.
edit: although switching to Pump won't save you from San Diego's zombie machines. You still need to drive to Round1 around the Industry/Pomona/Ontario area.

Oh yeah, you'll never see Theory of Eternity or I'm So Happy in the states either. The pads suck, no e-amuse, and we now have cross-wired machines!

With the cross-wired machines, doesn't that make it possible to play a song by only pressing the yellow arrow buttons instead of actually stepping on the pads? (If so, that could be abused so much by people who play index on SM)

I'm pretty sure the machine buttons don't cause pad input, it's only the other way around. Then again I could be wrong and forgot to check. It'll be easy to find out by going to I/O Check and looking at Pad Input as opposed to Button Input, then trying the buttons out...
In any case all my scores in the machine are legit
I have a suspicion that even if you could use the machine buttons to hit arrows, the buttons are so cheap that your timing would suck balls.

I'm a PA type of player so when I get scores below a AA or AAA that really gets to me. I just don't want to start playing on a US DDR X2 Machine and end up with an A on Max Love when I already PFC'd it. Nickle CIty in San Diego should have an ITG 2 machine so I will just upload off my USB and play my favorite DDR X2 songs. It just won't be the same though, the whole timing, screen, and speed options is just going to throw me off again. It's a big difference to me to play the same song on a DDR X2(JP) machine vs a ITG 2 machine. The Round 1 arcades in Japan are sooo much better. Soooo much better. Besides I'm moving back to San Diego because I'm getting out of the Navy to go to college. It's honestly not worth it living in Japan, really expensive.

1) We don't have MAX LOVE in the US yet but we'll never have it at Round1 the way things are currently going
2) Does Nickel City still have an ITG2? I have a friend who lives in San Diego and he when he went home for winter recess 4 months ago he said that both the ITG2 and DDR SuperNOVA disappeared.
as for PA on X2, I can't help but wonder how many of my SDG and Black Flags were my fault or the pads' fault. But either way, I'm only treating scores as PFC's if Round1's cab tells me I got a PFC.

not sure. I've been in Japan for a while. I think blake sold his personal ITG 2 machine to the Nickle City and the Upgrade machine was sold to a DDR player. I'll find out when I come home this month. If I can't AAA Only my Rail Gun then it's time to stop playing DDR X2(US).

I can successfully say today that I waited 30-45 minutes so the maintainance guy would try to fix the sensors, which ironically he played heavy also, just to fail Kimono Princess 3 times on the course. I WANT MY ZETA!!!! T_T Those sensors are really sucking and the maintainance guy told me he tried as much as he could to replace them, but they were just too shitty. I couldn't AA Fire Fire neither, with other songs that I used to AAA, because of this. T_T
Also, the unlock code was on our machine with a (1) symbol below the other icons on the title screen.
btw Talking about the Latitude 30 Jacksonville, FL X2.

Yeah, there's a discussion on bemanistyle about how the Betson X2 cab sensors are cheap quality.

Hey djfmf, I haven't been in Okinawa in almost ten years. I was just wondering how is Game Land doing? If it's even there. It was this little place on Gate Two St outside Kadena. I have no idea how things have been there since all of my friends have already left Okinawa and stuff.

still there. they had a DDR SN machine but they got rid of it. Now the Koza Music Mall has a Geo Arcade with all the latest games. Well actually both Game Land and Geo Arcade combined is like an arcade heaven from my apartment. it's the only thing i will miss from japan.
