Theres a good chance some parts of Second heaven will be changed. Everyone agreed at the test location with what everyone thinks here.

Also possession and DD might get changes too.

I'm really disappointed with tha Second Heaven chart. The rythm could be way better (near the end it's ok, but some part are... >.>).

Eh, when we talk about double stepping, are we talking about End of Century double stepping or Trip Machine luv mix double stepping? Double stepping is not necessarily bad unless it's at crazy speeds (i.e. above 200bpm). I find EoC style pretty easy to manage. If we're talking about double stepping that doesn't have to be double stepped, i.e. turn or spun to, I think that's fine as well. Double stepping can be used to up the challenge of a song without having to use a ton of 16ths or pauses. (see HVAM, Daikenkai)

In terms of smoooch, there really is no double stepping required. There are three or four well-placed spins. DD and Second Heaven both require a lot of spins, Second Heaven more than Dazzlin'.

Smoooch seems pretty fun, except for those galop :s
And at this speed, it's kind of ok if there is some spins that you can double step (not like Ordinary World :s).

But seriously Second Heaven... >.>


@Daiz : It's just that i don't like double steps at all. I got 4greats on Healing-Vision(Angelic Mix) for exemple, but i hate the stepchart. (AAA End of Century that i don't like too).
Yeah, it's doable, even it's 196bpm and 8th (for Healing Vision). But it's painfull.
Don't told me that you find the stepchart of Arrabbiata good ?

Yeah i know Second Heaven is not that fast, it's not maybe the same kind of double-step, but they should stop this.

I still prefer play a faster song with crossovers than slower with dumb step placement.

And i really love, when i try to teach how to cross to beginner/advanced players, when they play a song, try to cross, and get screwed... So, they learn that there is "good crossovers" and "fake crossovers" (=don't do this crossover or you will die).
They have to learn charts who have that kind of cross, or usualy, double step anything (even cross).

The point is (for me), if you are good, you have to got a good score on sightread (90% of the time).
If not, the chart is bad or you are bad.

Just watched the Dazzlin Darlin Video and i was like where have i heard that before .... Then i realised it was stepped in the R21 Twins Pack over a year ago, its probably been in other games but im noob to those so i wouldn't know.
Glad to see more of this kind of music.

I'm really starting to dislike whoever it was that brought up double stepping in the first place, it's all everyone is talking about.
it's really only bad in Second Heaven, but other than that everything is tolerable. Sure, any double stepping is not ideal, but it's not that big a problem.

For a lot of people anything that goes beyond a simple crossover stream is double-stepping. How boring it must be to play 3rd mix charts like that~

Uhm, if you have to play a chart a few times to get a good grade on it, that doesn't make it a bad chart or you a bad player. Apply this logic to any other video game on earth. Are you a bad Mario player if you die on a level a few times before you are able to run through it without a mistake? Are you a bad shooter player if you have to play against someone a few times you are able to beat them? I think it's stupid to claim that sightreaders are better players because they make above 90% on first attempt than someone who can AAA a more complicated song after several tries. If a song can be mastered on sight read, it makes the chart easy, plain and simple.

I do not find Arrabbiata fun at all because of the bad jump placements, but other songs that most people double step I find extremely fun to master. Stuff such as Celebrate Nite, Ordinary World, Paranoia, Brilliant 2U Orchestra Groove Challenge, Blind Justice, etc, all have complicated turns and can be done without double stepping. There are people who dislike gallops and think they are stupid, people that dislike freezes and people who refuse to do cross overs. Does that mean the charts are bad charts because they do not like their chart style? By no means, no. Spinning, turning away from the screen and double stepping are all part of the game. The only time i find double stepping annoying is during pad cross overs on doubles because then you're not just trying to hit the arrows, you're trying to do so without twisting an ankle.

I've never had that problem in all of the doubles charts I've played.
