JhOpZzZz, I'll be trying to enter this code on a local-mode JP cabinet tomorrow. If it works, I'll see what other songs get unlocked (HP3 crossovers, revivals, challenge charts and Fire Fire come to mind for us)

How to use unlock code:
1. Insert coin until get the 1st credit & title screen
2. Step excacty with the codes. The Left-Right yellow arrow thingy is the Left-Right button on the screen.
That should work at ANY DDR X2 Machines. Asian/Japan/etc.
I've said it a lot of times. We don't have to insert credit to do the codes. Just wait for the X2 logo to appear (The pads will light up when stepped, on X2 screen) & then you may proceed to do the codes 1. Insert coin until get the 1st credit & title screen
2. Step excacty with the codes. The Left-Right yellow arrow thingy is the Left-Right button on the screen.

Aside from Philippines. Anyone here from other countries
that has DDR X2 Asian/Japan version not connected to eamuse?
The X2 here if without eamuse = pads condition is in the cannot-make-it condition....that has DDR X2 Asian/Japan version not connected to eamuse?
So it's kinda hard to do the codes i guess.
I do believe that the unlock codes is meant for all X2. (Since SN2, all the unlock codes works for all versions)
Another trick to check for the unlock code level:
On SN2 & X, if you set the eamuse machine into LOCAL MODE, the unlock code level will appear. Maybe someone can try it on X2 & see what happen?

@Pumpkinetics: What is the version of your DDR X2 in Australia?
Ours is not updated in any matter whatsoever. Still stuck on version JDX:A:A:A 20100531

JhOpZzZz: Can't see the version on this one (the screen's not set up properly, the top and bottom are cut off) but the arrows definitely light up on the title screen and not elsewhere. However, no luck getting the code to work yet.
Edit: Pretty sure it's also a 20100531, based on what little of the version I could see. Still no luck with getting the code in.

Can you update simply by plugging the machine into an ethernet cable? I remember someone said this was the case for X.

There's a small issue. The USA and Europe machines are different from the JP/Asian ones. Not just on the interface, but also on the songs available. On Local Mode, they already have the enjoy level unlocks (challenge charts), BeForU Revivals, and first batch of unlocks (La Libertad, Freeze, Gotta Dance, etc.).

Sent to Konami via their default contact form (does anyone know how reliable that service is? I'm assuming not very):
Hopefully we can get this sorted out quickly. I'd be bloody annoyed if someone forgot to send us pacific players a catch-up code when they should have.

Recently, the first unlock code was publically released for the arcade version of Dance Dance Revolution X2. In Australia, I frequently use an asia/pacific version of DDR X2, ver. 20100531. After multiple attempts at entering the code as per the instructions at (http://www.konami.com/external/arcade_ddrx2unlock.html), no response has been given by the machine. Does the recently released code only work for North American and European versions of the game, or, considering that a number of songs were pre-unlocked on NA/EU cabinets, was an additional unlock code planned for Asia-Pacific cabinets that was somehow forgotten to be released? I eagerly await a functioning unlock code for Asia-pacific cabinets.

So it really seems Asian cabinets have issues
with the unlock code.
I really hope KONAMI will do something about this.
My guess would be that unlock code is like unlock code
No. 2 for Asia.
US Players, please post a picture of the title screen
with the unlock code entered in. Thank you.

So this is like DDR X's missing X-Specials and DDR SuperNOVA's patch disc right? That seems to be the case. Konami wasn't thinking straight when they thought EVERY asian country would have e-amuse in the arcades. The codes must have been coded with only the overseas versions in mind.
It's uncanny, but American and European machines win in this aspect.

Okay, I know you guys are all jelly of like say Chicago and London because they already got their unlocks, but are you seriously saying that this is win?
yes, i am highly frustrated
cuz well we don't have the unlocks, or a properly working cabinet
Also it's likely Konami was thinking straight when they decided unlocks would only be for e-Amuse arcades in Asia

We (TakaTDM and I) tried 6 or 7 times to enter the code in at the Trocadero - no machine response given, and no songs were unlocked.

I really have the feeling that unlock code
No.1 for Asia contains the BeForU songs and
HP3 songs. Unless there's a patching need to
be done on the machine.

I don't see that in the Arcade Locations, add it please?
That said, I find it somewhat sad that there are only a dozen DDRX2's in the USA. I bet Dave & Buster's alone already owns more Pump Fiesta EX cabinets than there are DDRX2's in the US. (assuming that some of both are still unreported)

@King of Light: Does the title screen says number 1 at the upper right of the screen?
@yindesu: How come it changes speed modifiers during gameplay???? The speed modifer changing should be locked by the time arrows start to appear.

But my experiences confirm that the speed mods do NOT lock by the time the arrows start to appear. Each song seems to have a different lock time, but all of them are at least one full measure (4 beats / red arrows) after the first arrow.
and they change because Betson cabinets suck.
