The WR for Egoism 440 is a higher score than the WR for IX (citation needed). If true, I'm laughing.

I checked here, but the site says it may be outdated (which is why there is no EGOISM 440 score), but this means the WR for IX is somewhere around 997,000 or higher. The EGOISM 440 WR, if I recall, is 992,310.

So I'm assuming that's false. I would have jumped out the window if it were true though.

Egoism is way too brutal to be an 18. IX might get away with being a 19, but you also have to remember Egoism is about 50 BPM faster than IX to begin with, and in a shorter song length by 25 seconds, has 60 more steps.

If anything, I would accept the fact that IX is probably the hardest 18 we have on the game, but the gap between 18 and 19 is just too much like night and day as it stands. Maybe if they decide, "Hey, we need a gateway 19 to bridge the gap," maybe IX could fit that role, but as a counter-point, I'd still say the gap between NGO and IX is still bigger than IX and Egoism.

E440 is a 19.

Okie was saying that Quickman was wrong about how he thought that EGOISM 440 should be an 18.

Anyway, do you guys honestly believe that OTP will be a 20? At this point I'm starting to lose hope because I don't know what else Konami could do to create a nightmare of a chart.

There's more chance to get a good 20 on double with hard crossovers, than a 20 on single full of shitty jumps and awkward step placement everywhere

There's probably an even better chance it'll be a 20 with both.

I'm going to explain why neither will get a 20.

First, most if not all the possible reasonable note to step to are filled by the 18. Second, the multiplying speed section doesn't last long enough to justify raising the difficult on as it is.

While the patterns in the beginning and though out most of the songs are very easy to read, we first don't want another VD full of ludicrous crossover and unnecessary jumps, and secondly, the only person truly wanting to see a 20, and play it, is FEFEMZ. Why make a song that difficult so only one player can clear it on its hardest difficulty.

Also the design of the song could not accomidate the needs for the theoretical 20, I believe a 20 could only be achieved by a few things. First we have to have a song longer than 2:10 to allow enough arrows for it, secondly, we're looking at almost 900 arrows in a single song (Elemental Creation has 860), so I think that it will require almost if not more than 1000 arrows. It has to test endurance for the long run.
