I dunno we did see SN2 and it was the best new generation ddr mix to date.

You know what I want to see come back to DDR?

Challenge Courses. You know... things like... NAOKI Standard. GRAND CROSS ver. Gold, Space Walker, etc.

I was a little disappointed when they took it out altogether in favor of ranking courses. Don't get me wrong. Ranking Courses are awesome, too. I just wish they kept Challenge Courses.

I gave Pie 2 more videos today. A crystal clear one of Second heaven Expert incase there were any problems stepping it correctly the first time and another of SH on difficult.

He'll up it tonight he said. Too bad they unlock 3 new songs the day after I left haha.

As for my videos, they wont be public until after test location.

Oh yeah, I've upped the expert chart but I still gotta do the difficult. I figured there's no rush for that chart though, so I've uploaded just the expert for now.

Don't some courses still force you to play with battery life? Like Boss Rush X?

Yes, but he means separate Challenge ONLY courses.

I'm not sure if Boss Rush X forces you to do that, but that's what I meant. I think playing Challenge Courses allows me to be a better PA'er. They really should bring that back.

Second Heaven: Rhythms are great, steps are all wrong, please change the placement so there is some semblance of flow.

Dazzlin' Darlin: Eh, nothing is bad, but nothing is good, there's really nothing I like but nothing I hate. The gallops are not my thing, they don't seem to fit, and the rest of the rhythms don't really feel in place either. I hope this gets a do-over.

Poor Ryu, his songs got some rather iffy steps. kors k's songs have incredible steps, though.

I like smooooch; it's got catchy steps. I'd love to see Challenge steps that follow the beat with 24ths and such for those slurs, but hey there's always Stepmania.
Speaking of which, to whoever did the steps before Pie (think it was t7r) your 3.9+ is a little outdated. They stopped using #NEWMETERTYPE:NO and are now using #METERTYPE:DDR X.

Also Second Heaven was really late iirc. Have to go to work...

If we see 24ths in anything faster than 100 bpm made by Konami in the next 2 years, I'll be surprised. They don't seem very inclined to bump up the speed like that.

So? FAXX came out what, 3 years ago now? 32nds at 98 doesn't require the footspeed that FAXX does. My basic point is that it seems very unlikely for Konami to go much above that footspeed requirement in the next year or two. Pluto the first and 888 are the only exceptions right now. 24ths at 180 is definitely a couple years off at least.

This. Not only that, have a lot more better themed courses. Extreme got it right with courses like DanceMania, TaQ, IIDX Boss, Road of Slow, from Club Mix, etc etc. There's not enough courses in SN2 that have middle road steps. They either have too easy songs or stupid hard songs. (Grand Cross Gold is ok)

From looking at the charts right now, I believe:

smooooch: It spins and crossovers for a reason. The BG video should give it away. I love the Expert chart. A very nice and complex 9/ hard 8.

FIRE FIRE: Reminds me of MAX 300... if they made it go at 150 BPM. The 16ths were expected; otherwise it would just be a letdown. A solid 14. I think it could probably get by as a 15. Like pie, I can't really tell which is my favorite between this and smooooch.

DD: The streams are nice. I'd rather jump than gallop in DD though. Somewhat boring compared to the song itself if you play it more than once.

Second Heaven: Looks okay on paper but playing it made me think otherwise. needz moar flo

...Best arcade release EVER. I just want to see/hate-all-over Possession Expert now and I'll be satisfied. :O

Ok I decided to take a small chance.
