throwing out a cabinet does actually make sense in some regards.

The cost of listing certain items (esp as a business) on trading sites can take a cut into profits, as can success fees, as does having to get employees to load up and ship the machine and blah blah blah.

So in some cases managers are likely to take a blanket 'it's not worth the hassle when we'll make back our losses in 2 weeks with this new cabinet that we'll expect to work for years without maintenance despite it being hammered up to 1000 times every 5 minutes because we're used to cabinets like metal slug working for 9000 years without needing anything done at all except the coin box emptying and the profits counting' sort of view on it.

That's what arcades suck now.

This one was not expected at all. I just played it randomly and got it. With that said, obviously I didn't take a video though I will try it again on video. It's actually not that hard, just a few parts are tough. I also think I can improve my MA a lot.

Not sure where to start.

Well I went to an arcade I haven't played at in a while and I think I fell in love there. The machine is in great condition and the pads are awesome. I got lots of great score and even a few World Records.

In the beginning I SDPed a few songs like Jam and Marmalade, reach up and maybe a few others and then after getting warmed up I got this world record on Konoko.


No video for that but after that I was feeling pretty good and decided to take some videos and I got these.

2 perfects away from the world record

4th time, it's getting easier every time.

As for a new one, this is the one I'm most happy about not to mention I beat the world record.

After I played that I decided to try to get Possession again and it worked.

back to back with Roppongi ver. D

Before I left I wanted to try and improve my other roppongi scores and I ended up getting the WR on Ver. A and missing Ver. B by one.

I have videos for both of them and I will upload them later. In fact, I'm going to make a small compilation of all the roppongi songs PFCed in 1 video.

Wow, I didn't think putting the speed at x5 would make my score higher on this, but it did. I started a new Stellar Master Mode game on my second memory card, and attempted to do that speed x5 mission at Velocity without the 2-player cheat. I gave in when I had 4/5 songs done because the rest were just too fast for my brain to comprehend.

@Dr.D - Great job on Posession! I can't believe your snagging World records left and right now You should be really proud of Ver. D... I can;t believe you PFC'd that AND got the world record especially because I have been struggling passing it as an Encore still (stupid gimmics get me every time and I get it confused with C).

@seishinbyou - I never played Ubertreffen... I am going tp suppose its extremely difficult just based on how many arrows it has >_< Congrats on that! I know your gonna snag that AAA soon

@danielDC1 - Nice Job on that That one took me a while to AAA and is still one of the highest scoring AAA's I have gotten. It was fun to whore all day

Now my update... This one too will be VERY long. I might not upload every photo, but I will link them at the very least because all my photos are very large and I don't really feel like scaling them down.

So on Friday I decided I was going to go Gameworks to play some DDR X2 for the first time. Got there in the early afternoon at around 2:30ish and went straight upstairs and saw the pretty new machine sitting there...

The two guys playing finished up their round and left and it was just me and the new X2 machine the whole day (as in other people played with me but I got to play every round at least). I played on round and nearly jizzed myself (just kidding... But it was awesome). The pads.... WORK!? WHAT THE HELL!!! They are as solid as a rock these pads. They make almost no noise when I step on the panels, feel solid and just feel great to play on. They are very nice and sensitive and at the same time and I only needed one round to adjust to them. One really strange thing to me still is the bar... Its a different texture is a lot lower then the other DDR bars. I actually like it being lower it turns out because I can move faster that way but it took some adjusting for that reason as well.

So first round was meh... Played Only My Railgun as my first song (because its one of my favorite Japanese Pop songs ever) then Smooooch and deltaMAX. Second round was much better after adjusting (There is still some odd lag on the game... but its a thousand times better then DDR X). SDG'd Dazzlin Darlin to get the remix and that was my first PFC AAA on the game >_<

Then played Only My Railgun that same round and pretty much destroyed it for being on an American machine...


After that the machine crashed after the game and while I was just sitting there waiting to see if anything would happen some guy from out of state showed up and introduced himself to me. He was a very nice guy and seemed pretty excited to be at Gameworks and playing DDR X2. So we went downstairs and told the front desk DDR X2 crashed and the game was re-booted with the card reader broken so we got 4 free rounds. So I played a couple rounds with him and got a PFC AAA on Second Heaven (Expert)...

He left after a couple rounds, but it was very nice to meet him and to play with someone.

After that dood left I was left alone again and I got the card reader fixed so I could continue playing. I played some other songs but the MA's weren't that great...

(okay they weren't THAT bad... But I still don't feel properly adjusted to the lag and could have done better)

And NOW is where my day got weird... Some girl showed up and started ghosting me. She said she was sorry she ghosted me and gave me a hug and asked if she could play. I said sure and I would even treat her to free credits. She said it was a great birthday gidt because it was her birthday so I was like cool I guess. So I played a few rounds with her...



(She hurt her foot really bad so she usually stopped playing during the songs to take a break off her foot)
And after that she said she wanted to have a drink with me since I was being nice to her and I gave her free rounds of DDR. I thought eh... Why not I'm gonna be here for a while still so sure I'll share a drink. So we shared a tequila and after that shit got weird... Like she was like... on me. Couldn't stop hugging me kissed me a few times and just was really drunk. I have a girlfriend and told her to back off or I was going to have to leave or something. Her two friends showed up and started controlling her a bit thankfully because I still wanted to play and didn't want something like that to ruin a good time. So I played one more legit round with her before her and her friends left...

And then it was me time again...

One of the usual's showed up at the time and I decided I would play one last round with him before I left...



And that was day one for me with DDR X2. Besides some BS I had to put up with because of that person it wasn't too bad of a day. 12 AAA's in one day is definitely pretty damn good!

So Sunday rolls around and I knew I was going to play DDR X2 some more. Got there 10 minutes after Gameworks opened and started playing. I got one AAA right away...

The shock arrows actually weren't too bad so I tried Smooooch. Wow that chart with Shock arrows is actually VERY fun and makes sense! What a turn around from the last game!!!

I got one more AAA before some people from Zenius showed up. They were pretty cool, but I didn't really chat with them that much plus I was pretty tired for getting up after 5 hours of sleep (its not a lot of sleep for me) and forcing myself to play DDR for hours. While they were there I got two more AAA's. This is the one I am the most proudest of...

Like seriously... If DDR X worked I would have had this already. >_>
and I also got one AAA I always messed up (got a pretty good MA I think)...


And that pretty much was the second day of DDR X2 for me. Not bad but I kept whoring Yellow Candy and kept getting one great on it (no pic, but the machine score is pretty much proof to that). And this happened as well which I am pretty proud of...

WOW A FULL COMBO!!! GOLDEN MOVES!!!

So in conclusion DDR X2 is the sex clearly.

We dont have x2 here but a friend made an arcade with every song from 1st mix to x2 and the Mrvelous timming window is harder , the theme is awesome it is from beatmania IIDX DJ Troopers.
