Yeah June told me about the sync patch so yeah. It's great, I'm sure you all read about it. I'll put up some videos from it sometime this week to show you guys. Oh yeah, sorry for the n00b comment but that's sorta what these boards are known for.

Right I have no pictures or videos because my camera died on me the night before, but I did go to Skegness and I can confirm at least two DDR X machines are there, one in the arcade on the pier (previously confirmed) and also one in the Tower arcade. From what I can gather, and obviously due to them only just being installed, both must be the original unpatched versions. I only went on the one in the Tower arcade twice just to try it out and I will reveal my positive and negative points below:
Pros:
- The machine is big, new and very modern looking.
- The new widescreen is much appreciated as it gives a sharper picture and more comfortable positioning of the arrows.
- Newest DDR game since Dancing Stage SuperNOVA, it's been a while for us Europeans because we never got SuperNOVA 2 and the theming is better compared to the darker look of SuperNOVA and it's horrendous 'machine gun' music scroll sound effect.
- Music is sectioned off well: where SuperNOVA just clumped many of the older songs together in one massive folder X at least separates by the original game, even if such sections aren't relevant to the European release line.
- Europeans can now finally play many SuperNOVA 2 songs we previously missed before, a big plus for me.
- A lot of the songs, both old and new, are awesome.
- Despite the almost insulting 'urban' theming, the graphics and sounds are pretty awesome and some of the best and clearest yet.
- I unlocked 'On The Break' on Difficult but didn't dare play a song I had no prior knowledge of and wind up looking a fool (I was nervous enough as it was, feeling like everyone was staring at and judging me...), the fact that an amateur like me managed to unlock something made me feel special though...
Cons:
- Yet another Dancing Stage Fusion AC scenario with pads not picking up steps properly and freezes breaking when they normally wouldn't before depending on how much or how little pressure is applied.
- Previous point is made worse by the game feeling even more off-sync than a vanilla SuperNOVA AC was, at least in my opinion.
- Screen seems to be tilted too high for my liking, I swear older cabinets screens faced forward more.
- Sound system and lights seem different but not necessarily better than before, at least by my ears.
- The announcer... dear GOD the announcer.
- Many of the new songs, even remixes, feel more hollow and lifeless than before.
- Lack of many old licences in the relevant folders really stands out. Because a lot of the Japanese and American versions tended to clump all the tracks together regardless of their licence status you tend to take many licensed songs for granted within the song list. DDR 1stMix, for example, feels VERY empty having only three songs.

You know you've reached the pinnacle of society, when you not only play a dancing game full of bright gay colours, bright lights, gay anthems, jumping up and down, and running ths spot, but you spend all day boasting about it on the internet, and chastising people who aren't as good at running on the spot as you are.

This site and forum is one of the best I know of on the whole internet, let alone the DDR/music and rhythm genre.

I migrated from DDRFreak to BMS and DDR:UK, then swapped DDR:UK for here when it came up during the SuperNOVA era, and never looked back. It's amazing here; current news, active discussion, friendly community.

The Internet does not give you the excuse to be a dickwad.

See, this is what happens when you unlock silly things like accessories for two weeks in a row, KONAMI.

I love this talk of "migration" between websites and such.
I love the Bemani community.

I just had the weird thought of the Kawaii Rangers being immigration officers.

So can anyone explain why such a high emphasis on Louis Concent and Queen Zukin? I mean to dedicate nearly 8 weeks (all together) of unlocking their stuff alone, you would think there's something special about them.

God knows, KONAMI just doesn't have enough good unlocks on this mix I'm afraid.
