I've listened to the KO's and I have to say, they're very good. The only one I don't really like is Heatstroke. I was expecting something completely different. Oh well, atleast we hear Angie Lee
And is it just me or do all the new songs seem really short?

It really is a shame none of the new KOs have music videos...
So far, the licenses are a real mixed bag. Some of them look really fun (Let's Get It Started, I Know You Want Me, You Got It), some of them feel like wastes (When I Grow Up, Disturbia), and a bunch of them are decent, but not particularly memorable.
The cuts on some of them are just awful. When I Grow Up is terribly cut, as is Do You Know.
Oh well, the major problem is the restrictively easy difficulties they've been given. Why they threw away the E3 Disturbia chart in favour of an even more boring one, I'll never know. But at least some of the licenses are looking really fun.

If you've listened to SILVER DREAM, you've already heard Angie Lee ;).
The songs seem average DDR length. In fact, some are quite long. A Brighter Day, THIS NIGHT, and Love Again are all over 1:50.

I think if there's an arcade incarnation with these new KO's, we'll be seeing music videos for some of them. I think all the songs so far sound pretty good, the license cuts seems alright this round too. I'll probably end up picking up HP3 when it hits next week, mainly to play the rest of the licenses. I'm kind of wondering if the songs will have different charts, the KO's at least.

I doubt the HP step writers had anything to do with these charts considering that MOST, if not ALL of these charts I've seen so far would fail if hands were added anywhere in them. Granted most of these were challenge charts that wouldn't be in HP3 anyway, but even a lot of the Expert charts look TOO foot only. I'm putting money on HP3 getting a COMPLETELY different set of charts.
Like I said before, there is absolutely no evidence that Wiimote shakes are actually in HP3's normal mode. Correct me if I'm wrong.Pssh, you *ARE* wrong. If they had Hand Markers in HP1 and HP2 as per the standard game mode, why WOULDN'T they have it here? Really shows how much you know about the HP series...
normal code is the key word. i think he means that HP3 might just have separate hand charts from the standard DDR style charts. a little reading goes a long way, as he says nothing to suggest that HP3 wont have hands in the standard game mode.
think about this, if PS2 DDRs can have separate singles and doubles charts, why cant Wii games have separate hand and normal charts?

I used to have one next week but The Doctor commandeered it....so I can't do the time warp even if I tried.

Actually, everything he said suggests that he feels HP3 won't have hands. See below:

Anyway, yes, I've been itching for separate charts since HP2 and given the large amount of content in the game (Balance Board charts will be seperate obviously and other things like the Hyper Move mode), I got a feeling it's more likely than before.

I burned out the flux capacitor in mine. Must've put one too many jiggawatts into it.

Wow. Just wow. I mean, it looks like he's doing this thinking no one will know. I'm not sure if he's just dumb or just doing this to annoy people by copying people photos.

Yes, but almost directly after I changed my avatar to that, he took the image, added some weird effect to it and made it his avatar.

It's been done before, so it's okay? That's the attitude we're using here?
"Hey guys, I'm going to kill and rape people, in that order. Someone else already did it, so it's okay if I just copy."

When I said "normal mode" I was just referring to using the dance pad. Note that there hasn't been a single picture or video of HP3 showing Wiimote shakes, unless there's one I either haven't seen or don't remember."...there is absolutely no evidence that Wiimote shakes are actually in HP3's normal mode"

I've seen quite a few shots with directional hands in them, if you haven't noticed them it's because they look quite different than just the left hand/right hand shake notes They also appear in all four lanes too. And HP1 and 2 did not have a separate "no hands" mode. You could turn them off, just like you probably can here, but if it's anything like HP2 most of the charts will go to shit without them. That, and when you consider that that's gonna be pretty much one of the big selling points for the game like it always has been for EVERY Wii DDR chances are turning off hands and replacing them with arrows is going to be an option like it was in the last two. IF the charts are different, that's gonna have fairly significant repercussions.
Despite that actually being one of the suggestions I made for a HP3, I seriously doubt that's being implemented. I WILL eat crow however, if you're right and that's what they did.
edit: I stand corrected, that's exactly what they did, and it actually sorta pisses me off about HP3 now. It's a good game still, but with all that they did in HP2 it feels like a step forward and backward all at the same time. Of course for everyone on DDRX2 this won't matter one iota.

That would be the Balance Board mode. Those are called punches and hip thrusts.
