Disney buys Marvel, so it only stands to reason that Nickelodeon would pick up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
But Nick didn’t just buy the old TV shows and movies, they bought the property in its entirety, including the merchandising rights and the ability to make new series and TV shows.
MTV Networks acquired the global rights to the Turtles from The Mirage Group and 4Kids Entertainment for roughly $60 million dollars. Nickelodeon plans to develop a new CG-animated TMNT television series to premiere in 2012 and, in partnership with Paramount Pictures, a new Ninja Turtles feature film for 2012.
One of the most popular kids’ television programs of the 1980s, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was created in 1984 by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird as an independent comic book. Note, the current network TMNT animated series now running on CW4Kids Saturday morning will continue to air through Aug. 31, 2010.

Considering what Nickelodeon is like now, they are probably going to completely ruin it.

Isn't it funny that nick has to buyout the rights to other shows, due to the show they made suck?

I was watching Nick GAS once, and I saw that show. If we still had that show, I'd totally compete on it.

"Charlie isn't real" |
...my older bro just LOVES being an asshole, seriously...
So me and his girlfriend want to get the $79 Rock Band Special Bundle Edition + Rock Band 2 for the PS3 (with free shipping), but in ORDER for us to even DECIDE to get it, we have to go through him because, once again, it is HIS PS3
.
After talking to him about this and after about 20 minutes, he calls me back with a "solution":
1. I would have to chip in 33% of the value for the game if all three of us are wanting to get it.
2. THIS is our Christmas gift to all three of us.
3. I told him i will only spare $20 for this, but he says i have to chip in $26.35 if i want to get it...or we won't get it.
I mean, it just goes on and on and on, i would also like to note that he isn't a huge fan of "rock" music...Thank god i am getting DJ Hero all by myself
.
So yeah, if all goes through, i just might get Rock Band 2 for the PS3...in about 10-14 business days after we place the order
I just seriously hate how my bro regulates our spending on games, ESPECIALLY ones that involve "rock"" music...i swear to god, if i catch him playing this game i will just go berserk (he doesn't want to get it, but he is willing to pay for it for me and his girlfriend and for my little bro if he wants to play it...which i know he will >_>).

Nick GAS was awesome until it became an automated cycle of only six shows. Every once in a while, the same episode would air twice in one day (even twice back-to-back on a few occasions) and it was a little annoying knowing there were other shows only on once in the early morning (some only daily or on weekends). Then, they took off those other shows completely little by little and left us with the few whose entire runs I could have perhaps recited. Not just GAS, but every Nickelodeon station does crazy shit like that.
