Wasn't there a glitch once in Doubles where arrows/Shock Arrows that only covered 4 of the 8 panels would become "fake arrows" or something? (Not quite sure how the glitch worked.) What was it like and has it been fixed?

arrows that occur at the same time as shock arrows weren't counted and basically was pretty much fake arrows, you don't have to step on them. this happened in south CDP. then sometime later, a patch fixed that.

Oh. I remember. The game counted the sections where there were a set of 4 Shock Arrows and a note at the same time as one combo, when it should be two separate combos.

I know those two were original, that's why I don't understand why we got a crossover.....well we got the sofa song too.....never mind it's to early to tell really.
Edit: What the hell is up with that chart? Why is there so much blank space? Its almost entirely bland 4th note streams with a couple of jumps and then awkward parts where you just stand there even though there is music going on.

The only songs that get challenge charts during events are the boss songs. Not to say they won't mix it up this time, and I will be happy if they do, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. Hyena and Stulti were both also horrifically under stepped. People swore challenge charts were coming and they never did.

That chart doesn't look terrible, but I agree there's a bit too much empty space. Biggest offender IMO is around 0:54 in that video where it follows the melody exactly and there are long holds. Put some steps on the other foot while those holds are going on and it'd be fine. Also, I get what they were going for at 1:30 but when the chart already has empty space I don't think it's a good decision. At least put a jump right on the first beat of that section.
Also, given the way these events have gone before, I wouldn't hold my breath for a chart.

While I agree it has some missing steps here and there, the double chart had me make peace with it. It looks really fun!

Methinks people are overreacting a bit with the Singles chart. Aside from that gap of space, I don't really see anything wrong with the chart. Unbalanced, sure, but personally I don't think that every single sound in a song needs a step placed for it.
And it's highly unlikely we're getting a for it, so don't hold your breath.

All I gotta say is that Sakura Mirage was an interesting choice for a crossover song, and the charts looks like something I would want to play. (I don't personally play Doubles too often, but I would really like to give this one a shot, so I'll make an exception.)
I've noticed that DDR 2013/2014 has been experimenting with having blank space during a breakdown in the song (for example, the middle of PRANA, towards the end of Windy Fairy, and now in the middle of Sakura Mirage). I wonder whose idea that is...?

I think the quality of the steps are going down recently. I can't think of a song that was released this year that don't have doublesteps, akward steps positions or blank spaces. I suppose that the steppers team has changed, and I think they are not doing a very well job compared to the one of the X2-2014 era.

Sand Blow, Destination was OK as well as HAPPY LUCKY YEAPPY imo, and as far as 12 footers go, Over The "Period" BSP is pretty neat.
what about all those EXTRA ATTACK songs?? BSB is cool, KHAMEN BREAK, Osenju meditation is neat, FUNKY SUMMER BEACH, Wadatsumi is pretty cool too... it goes on imo.
