Okay, so I just came home from school and now I took a look at the chart for Valkyrie Dimension.

I honestly dont know what you guys were expecting with a 19 footer. Yeah it looks ridiculous, but its a 19. Theoretically speaking, its the hardest chart ever made in DDR.

The ITG 13s are equally as retarded; if anything, moreso.

VD first 19 eh?

But seriously my eyes have melted from watching that chart, AMAZED THERE WAS NO SHOCK ARROWS, but it's too much of a clusterf*** to see anything unless you have it at 2x, which IMO makes the chart readable but HARDER for most anyone, hell even BROSONI has problems with the chart (but watch, give him a week or two, he can bump it to a high A or literally at the passing point of 950,xxx for this chart....then the world will collapse upon itself).

It's obviously a chart that you need to understand, in order to play. It's complicated, so knowing which steps to bracket, which streams to double-step, and which legs to put weight into is going to be more important than ever.

These guys are either recording their first attempts or first passes, and this is all before anyone's had to chance to go home and look at videos of the steps on the internet, to start figuring this stuff out. Within a week, it could be AA'd. It'll certainly be AA'd quicker than VD Maniac was passed.

Fixed for you, theres nothing wrong with 2 of the 13's on ITG they are just a bit aggressive, but even they dont do the same level of awful charting as this. considering everythings nearly been quadded now and the best player possibly in the world on DDR can only get a B on this PoS.

Regardless anyway, Posession + New decade were actually fun on pad having tried them. They can make good hard challenging charts if they try, they are just taking the p*ss with this it seems...

Vertex^2 maybe, but that's easier than this. You can't really compare them because none of ITG's 13s use crossovers as the main difficulty of the chart. Pandy is just an all-out stamina drainer, Vertex^2 is the least tiring but uses 24th notes and jumps for difficulty, and summer's difficulty is the 2 streams. Vertex^2 doesn't even have crossovers after the [very easy] beginning, Pandy barely has any crossovers at all, and Summer only has crossovers on 8th note intervals.

Stop comparing VD to ITG. There isn't anything like VD in ITG. Sure, it shares a few patterns with ITG charts, but who cares? It's all 4/8 panel. There are only so many patterns you can use.

There are no ITG charts that have crossover runs at 185 BPM.

I'm not as familiar with ITG doubles, but I will say it's not like any of the 13s. Honestly, VD doubles is an ok chart. That pattern right before the final speedup is stupid, but other than that it's not too bad. Definitely not 19 worthy.

I'd say a AA could be done in the next day or so, there is no pressure of having to FC the chart,
no "INST-FAIL HAHA YOU LOSE" so to speak. Someone will pass it and then suddenly 10 people will pass it and so on.

It's just Pluto Relinquish all over again.

They wanted it to be accessible to more people. If the light chart is a 9, a 6 or 7 beginner chart is appropriate. If you can't play that, then you shouldn't be playing boss songs. Roppongi Evolved has a hard beginner chart and let's not forget the legend of max (8th notes at 166ish) and SMMM beginner (8th note jackhammers at 160). I see nothing wrong with it.

I concede DEGRS to you but what was wrong with maxx unlimited x special? I FC'd it on my first pass! And that was on a machine with dodgy pads...

ANYWAY

Do we know if these charts are ever going to be playable outside of marathon mode yet? If i ever get to play a fully unlocked version of the game thats playable im going to ignore VD Challenge and just stick with the other 3 as the big bosses
