Really, if you don't like the bar, don't use it! I don't see what's so hard about that.

DDR X is also reasonable for my new status.Puppy Face

"i'm back "
Guys, I want to ask something...

but first, please take a look at my video :

Some people said that Me & My friend are playing too barbaric on this one? I think they hate us...

We're doing vandalism when playing DDR..., is that true?

What do you think about our gameplay? Our step power too hard? Are we destroying the machine? Neutral

I really need some opinions from you guys... Sad

We're doing vandalism when playing DDR..., is that true?: Your not doing vandalism. That's like playing Mortal kombat and someone bitching about you hitting the buttons.

What do you think about our gameplay?: That's how I play on hard songs. If people have a problem with it, then that's there problem.

Our step power too hard?: It's not too hard in less your stomping as hard as possible, in this case, your not.

Are we destroying the machine? No, your playing the game.

But...

...ZIV is so fun when a new DDR AC game comes out. Cry

In the end, isn't that all that matters?

I think we have more fun discussing upcoming releases than we do actually playing them.

I had more fun playing SuperNOVA2 than I did discussing it, it's one of the best AC releases. It would have been more fun discussing it had we not known about unlocks beforehand though.

For me that was probably the biggest let down for DDR X.

The was no surprise factor....

On SN2, it was always exciting to go to the arcade on thursday just to see the new unlocks. That plus, every time a Boss song was downgraded, a new never before seen one came up in its place. Then everyone tried hard to pass it on Encore or wait for it on extra stage.

Either way the surprise element made it really exciting and something to look forward too unlike DDR X. Its been boring playing out a game which we know whats coming...

Totally agree with that. I think the ps2 version should be released after the arcade's release.

QFT. Or at less until 3/4th of the unlocks are on the machine.

This^ Supernova 2 fixed everything that was wrong with Supernova 1. The ONLY disappoint I had was the fact so many courses were light/standard or standard/heavy. Not very many all heavy/challenge courses. Even though we already knew what was coming out, it was exciting when the unlock codes were released and you got 2 new songs and access to a new boss.

DDR X may not be that exciting right now, but remember how people were reacting when they saw the first 2 X-Specials then when the update that allowed access to all X-Specials through requirements. Then when the first Wii song showed up. If this release had came out before the CS version, this could have been the most exciting DDR release yet. Too bad it's flopped in the US, at least until they do something about the pads and e-Amuse.

Think of how incredible SuperNOVA2 would have been if KONAMI hadn't unceremoniously blown most of the unlock list in the Jersey Garden location test debaucle? But I agree 100%, and it's why I've been so let down with X; never should the console game be released before the arcade counterpart, especially if the console game reveals about 85% of the arcade song list. The US CS game completely stole the thunder of X and people stopped discussing it and caring here after a short period of time.

X-Specials? Old songs, and they lost their novelty extremely fast.
Wii crossovers? Again, old songs, but these were probably the most exciting part of X since we don't know what was chosen and finally can see them played on arcade.

I also can't believe how we went from SuperNOVA2's excellent, rather suspenseful way of presenting boss songs to X's "well, here they are, have fun" and with no surprises after that. Trigger's the ultimate boss song? We've known about it and have been playing it for months by the time X AC was released, KONAMI.

SuperNOVA almost had more surprise; remember the rush to clear the Boss rush courses so we could see those hidden Challenge charts to the boss songs? The progressively longer glimpses of CHAOS Challenge? That was exciting.

That's why I really want the new DDR games this fall to be strictly catchup games. I know, I'd love new material, but really let's not ruin another arcade release. Just give us the old songs we've never been able to play at home in North America, KONAMI.

Ya know, I think the most irritable thing about this whole DDR X release is the vow of silence Konami has taken regarding the issues in the US. No statement that they are aware of the problems, no apologies. no time frame of when they would be addressed, nothing at all. Ever since the whole USB or SD card poll, DDR Online Community has been silent on DDR X as far as posts in the developer blog or even "Konami asks" forum. It's like they put all this effort into making DDR big in the US again and then decided to crap on it and avoid confronting any of the complaints. Even if they released a statement that they were aware of the situation, it would be much better than thinking we're going to be stuck with a crappy release. Supernova wasn't that great, but at least the patch fixed much of the problems and made the game very playable. They even gave us 2 songs with the update.

And I wonder what dukamok knows, if anything about the situation. I think at one time he was trafficking complaints into the company. I wonder if he's heard anything new.

Do not buy DDR games this year, either download them or flat out ignore them. Konami deserves no less than that, they've given the american market an extremely undeserved and unrespectful treatment.

I think X AC should have had more license revivals in it than the console counterpart. Would have given more incentive to want to play the AC version. That or more KO revivals, instead we got the opposite on that.

if the online community does that, konami might lose 15,000 sales, thats if everyone registered on AIJ, DDRFreak, DDRUK, etc didnt buy it. considering their games are selling millions of copies a year, i doubt they will notice. nice try though, its cute when people think a small harcore community can make an impact on something.

Yeah cuz we all know the Groove Radar Specials, the very idea of 10 footer songs and Xmixes were put in there cuz the casual DDR player wanted to see them.

with the sales DDR gets, konami wont even notice if none of us buy the game. its not like they track that shit with the buyers name, they just know how many discs are sold. its not like they're going to see a few less sales and say "no one on ZIV bought the game, i wonder why".
