It was probably misinformation, but NJ/NY sounds more likely. I honestly wasn't around and wasn't sure how Alabama came to my mind.

The SN2 cabinet that tested eAmuse in NJ is now located in Alabama, specifically in Hoover.

When did NJ have SuperNOVA2 on e-Amusement? I thought it was only IL.

By the way, do we have any information on how DDR2014 was "localized" in America? Unless it hasn't happened yet, I'm fuzzy on the dates.

To put it in SN 2 terms...
It was before Saturn and all the other planets were officially unlocked (also before SN 2 US CS came out).

Wasn't the 2nd location test the one that had a good deal of unlock songs leaked because all the courses were somehow unlocked?

The Round1 location test won't be happening until later this month or next month.Post #6789 · Posted at 2015-07-18 07:15:10am 10.1 years ago

What I'm liking most about the Dave & Buster's thing is that Konami is willing to branch this game out beyond just Round 1 locations. This is a HUGE plus for people who don't live near a Round 1.

I won't be too surprised if Konami branches out to Gameworks as well, but that would be like asking them for a localized version of IIDX Copula. 8I

Yeah, I remember playing on that machine. I still have my American e-Amusement card and everything from that day. Also got to play the localized IIDX14 GOLD machine they had there, pretty sweet stuff. I really hope this location testing of DDR works out, I'd love to see newer DDR machines around the US again, even if it only ends up being at Dave & Buster's and/or Round 1. That's better than nothing.

Where is that IIDX14 located at now?
And was the American E-Amuse card the same or different?

I still have one that was given to me. Basically the same but with English text on the back.

Does anyone think that the test will hit the northeast? The news is great and all but it kinda sucks possibly not being able to irresponsibly throw all my money into the machine.

It's raw speculation whether it will. I personally think the test is gonna crash and burn, but I HOPE it goes well enough to expand further.

The Dave N Buster VP wanted to expand Japanese Rhythm games According to the IAMA thread over at Reddit.
So he might send it to alot of Dave N Busters.

You know, Dave & Busters once tested Technika 2... let's not jump ahead of ourselves.

Dave and Busters were supposed to be getting DDR games a few years back, but it was unsuccessful. It probably had a lot to do with the cabinets being extremely shoddy. Raw Thrills is know for sub par development.
