I kinda want to give points to everything but I don't have enough points to distribute.
Actually.... you do. There are 13 files, one is yours, so that leaves 12. You have 15 points. Where those three extra ones go to is up to you.

Anyway, I decided to go simple with Oriental Swing and only have the beginning halved. The rest is straightforward. I'm not sure about my Round F file (whatever I get anyway), I'll study to see if any stops/BPM halves fit it.

I am very upset to say this, but I will have to resign from the Simfile Shuffle this year. As much as I love to do this I am way too busy to keep up. Thank you all for this wonderful experience and good luck! I hope you've enjoyed my files!

Boring to step, I reckon someone else would have managed a better job than me though.
is probably better than the
.
Should be somewhat decently synced though, so if someone feels an urge to re-step this, go ahead.

I have a brief question about making stepcharts.
You know how doublesteps are frowned upon? Here's a test chart I made for my Round F basis.

This section is seemingly a mess. It has tons of doublesteps and if you try not to doublestep, you'll end up backwards and will get confused fast, tons of misses.
...or will you?
There's a specific way to play these parts I have in mind.
Do you see the area just below the highlighted marker?
You'll hit the down arrow with your left, the right arrow with right, up with left, left with right, down with left, and then right with right.
The trick? When you hit the down arrow with your left foot while your right is fixtated on the left, swing it behind you to hit the right arrow without turning backwards.
To go in the opposite direction, on measure 7, the 5th arrow is left. You hit down with your right foot, right with your left foot, and then swing your right foot in front of you over to the up arrow.
If I didn't explain it well enough, don't worry. Kyzentun has provided a video.
Trust me, this actually feels fun to do. I tested these with a psuedo pad (a checkerboard floor in my house). Especially with these kinds of patterns.

(but not at 175 bpm, lol)
So my point... would this be recommended, or...?

Spins in general are okay at low speeds and if used well; Spin Spin Sugar from DDR Extreme 2 is one song I can think of that uses spins I enjoy. I actually wouldn't frown too much on your first example since all the spins actually do spin the player in a full circle, and you only look away from the screen for a very brief period of time. As long as the spins are relevant to the music (that doesn't necessarily mean "Don't use a spin unless the lyrics say spin", it could also be stepped to a particular set of notes in the song) and as long as they're slow enough and used sparingly, spins are okay sometimes.

The idea I had in mind was also to AVOID truly spinning, and if you think you're going to face backwards, you swing your leg in the opposite direction.
For instance, in the second picture I posted, the first three notes will make you face right. The fourth will end up making you face backwards, unless you go outside of the pad and face left, and then hit it.
Doing this for the opposite direction is tricky (specifically L-U-R-D instead of L-D-R-U). Hit the first four notes normally (this'll make you face a sharp left), and then swing your left in the opposite direction.
To me, this actually creates a dancing feeling.
This works best on songs below 130 BPM (8ths) or 260 BPM (4ths).

The problem with the whole swinging your leg around thing (which I meant to comment on but got sidetracked by spins in general, sorry) is that the leg you're swinging has to travel a long way around in a short amount of time, and it's easy to trip over yourself when you're doing it. If you can pull it off, great, but it's not what most people will do and it's not recommended to build a stepchart around that strategy.

I tested the motions with a psuedo dance pad (checkerboard floor) and I can do it fine...
I'll see what I can accomplish with this if I feel like it's warranted in a song I get. I'll also see what other alternative patterns I can come up with to produce the effect but reduce risk of being tangled up.

Stressed from work and projects with the family, have not had much spare time to work on simfiles or anything really. Sorry to submitter, song is fun, but I can't finish the file, and a rush job would only result in a shite product, and I refuse to upload anything but a quality file (Well, for simfile contests)
That said, I did still play through the files early on, so I can at least vote

ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING SUBMISSIONS
Hey guys, lately there's been some complaints regarding sync and audio quality and due to such problems vincentw and I have thought about implementing a new rule to prevent such things from happening. Starting tomorrow we fully expect that participants submit appropriately synced files with decent audio quality (we've discussed setting a minimum of 192kbs but certain songs are either difficult to find or sound alright at lower bit rates). If not, the user will receive a warning regarding the quality and whoever received the file will be given a song from the backup pile. If one were to receive multiple warnings concerning their files they would either lose one of their vetoes or in the event that they run out of them they would be excluded from the next round. Hopefully this results in less problems and enjoy the rest of the contest!

Is 128kbps the minimum required? I mean, it's not the BEST, but it's better than if it came from a cellphone...

There's isn't a minimum per se, just 192kbs would be suggested. Then again why should anyone submit something lower than 192kbs unless they can't find it in better quality, and if that's the case they should just choose another song.

Where can this info be found on .ogg files? I honestly don't know much about audio quality. I don't think I've had a problem with audio quality, but it'd be nice to know for future reference.

Sorry for waiting so long to advertise my simfile, but here it is! Beware the light sprinkling of shock arrows in the challenge chart, as well as the weird patterns of the heavy chart (if you decide to play it)!
As for the votes...
Fortunately, I managed to produce some notes for this round, which I'll present below this text:
And my votes go to...

Livin' in the City- +4

As for the votes...
Fortunately, I managed to produce some notes for this round, which I'll present below this text:
$$EX- Definitely has some fun parts, and I liked all of the patterns on the heavy chart except for the one from measures 62-64. The basic chart could have used some 8th notes, however, where the 16th streams on the heavy chart would be.
Itadaki! Momoiro zombie nian- Very fun charts, though I felt that section 60-66 should have had a slowdown gimmick, that the hands near the end of the challenge charts were questionable, and that it is unfortunate that there were no graphics produced for this simfile.
licca- Very reminiscent of Cattleya from Round A of this Simfile Shuffle. Though I do think that some jacks could have been placed in measures 9-16, but overall, this file has very good charts, tastefull gimmicks, and fantastic artwork.
Living In The City- One of the songs that I would have really like to have stepped. Personally, I have have made the heavy chart harder with more jump steps, less freezes, and more 16th streams, as well as insert a few 8th notes to the light chart, but the charts presented here are pretty good, especially for a 'mainstream' audience.
Mind Your Own Business- Interesting charts, seeing as how the standard and heavy charts both use 24th notes in place of the 16th notes during the 3/16th note sequences (I don't know the name for these sequences), and since the heavy chart has 24th jacks.
Naedine- Somewhat understepped, but still has some nice patterns in the heavy chart.
On and On- Personally, I would have done quite a few different things with the heavy chart; for one, I would have a stream of sixteenth notes in measures 4 and 8, but I also would have added 8th jumps in measures 28-31, and made measures 32-33 a 16th stream, and made measure 37 a 12th stream. Otherwise, however, the charts here have some very fun patterns.
One More Time- Fortunately, you made the Stepmania 3.95 version, which fixed the sync issue that was happening on my copy of Stepmania 3.9. Though the chart is decent, there are some things I have to say about the heavy chart; from around measures 17-25 and 58-70 (the instrumental parts), I was hoping that you would copy from the heavy chart of DO YOU REMEMBER ME, but instead you used 8th note streams, which is still fine. As for the stop gimmicks, I didn't mind them, but would have preferred that there would have been actual steps in place of the final stop.
Posin- Very fun streams, as well as a very neat spin pattern on measures 37-40. This would definitely receive many points for me it weren't for its disqualification.
Time Again- Personally, I think that the heavy chart is decent, but understepped quite a bit, and the sync seems to be quite early.
TSAR BOMBA- A pretty good patterns here, though it's unfortunate that there is no banner or background.
Velfarre 2000- Good charts to be sure, but I felt that since the Basic chart was purposely made a little difficult, a beginner chart would have been nice.
Youkaisai Sandou- Nice song and charts, though it's unfortunate that there are no graphics for its simfile.
Zetsubousei Hero Chiryouyaku- Fun charts across all difficulties, along with a good song and good graphics.
