There was a debate a while back in this thread as to whether or not the banners in Solo were rounded off or if that's just how they looked in-game. They're rounded off.

Thanks a lot for the SOLO graphics! Reese is still in this game.

Also, don't the Solo BGs have some kind of frames to fill the screen? Because a few Nonstop BGs (A and C) in ZiV's simfiles are like that. But they could be fanmade for all I know.

Those are really in-game, and each nonstop has a unique frame. But that's how it looks in-game, composed of several different elements not just a single background image.

I'm not sure where most of the cleaner backgrounds came from, at least not off the top of my head. I think this is the last of copyright backgrounds too:
