Last I checked, unlocks come at 12:00 noon (Japan time, natch) on the dot. So the RDA songs will come in an hour and a half.

"Oh god what I have dooooone?!" |
Honestly, no DDR doubles cab has ever had one sensor per panel... that would just be ridiculous.
It's 4 per panel, one along each side, as always has been.
Not sure where the 1 sensor per panel thing came in, but it's false.
I do recall, however, that when X was released I saw a video of the cardboard mod being used, comparing side by side the with and without, and the cardboard modded one gave a couple of greats where the non modded one gave far more.
I'm guessing perhaps in reducing the size and inset-ness of the pads they've slightly increased the gap between the brackets and sensors?
Meh.
all I know is NZ still hasn't got a cabinet and never will.

What i want to see though, is someone's observation that there are indeed 4 sensors each panel on the DDR X cabs.

hah what?
Mind you, that does sound typical of konami. You think they can't be any more idiotic then something like that happens.
I'd love to see pictures though haha.

That's still 4 per arrow, but man that looks terrible.
Still, it looks like it'd be possible to hack some standard sensors in there, if you really wanted to.
I'm guessing that's what the cardboard mod I mentioned would have been (it didn't show inside the pads) - putting thick cardboard in between the green sensor and the black rubber housing would make it infinitely more sensitive.
Looks like these pads were constructed with 'cheap and easy to put together' in mind with no thought given to 'maintenance and easy to take apart'
*facepalm* in the direction of betson.

Yeah, that's one thing i can agree on. The pads looked really ugly with that hard to remove big panel.

I would like to point out that I have seen these pictures. They are from the X1 US machine. With that being said, there's a good chance that with the new pads on X2 look nothing like this.http://www.bemanistyle.com/forum/579738-post1302.html

Does anyone know if the soundtrack is only available on Konami Style? Can anyone tell me what this translates to? Google's translation wasn't very clear.

From feeling up the X2 here (lol) it really didn't seem like this terrible shallow design was in place, but maybe next time I got I'll try to take a panel apart and see what's underneath.

I guess we'll find out soon enough. How do you play the challenge charts anyway? VS replicant course? Extra Stage/EES?
