P.S. Beat'n Groovy is terrible it deserved to be trashed.
I was agreeing with you until you said that. Beat'n Groovy was an awesome game - and it still is. How can you not love the various features that it came with along with the large selection of songs, many of which are fan favorites? And let's not forget the much-needed overhaul in the character designs. It was a wonderful direction to take the game.
Sure, it's only flaw is that it was only released on the xbox but it's still a damn good game that can compete with the likes of the other popn games.

Not even HTML, look up the HTML reference, it's not in there.
It's for descriptive purposes.

stop ruining my fun :<
In other news, I planned on going to bed at 2am, but I wound up coming across this audio program in my computer that messes around with the equalizer and the resonance that the song gives. It is now 3:39 and spent the last hour listening to music, letting my ears experience the multiple orgasms while I look for the best setting for my ears to enjoy.

The hilarious thing is that the main bulk of the UK review says how 'terrible' the music is. Not the fact that there's not enough of it, or the theme being completely bastardised, or the game not actually being much fun in the first place.Post #6667 · Posted at 2009-10-13 07:15:58pm 15.9 years ago

Holy shit guys shut up.
GH/RB helped kindle the interest to music/rhythm games in the US, something not even Konami did properly did other than with DDR, albeit not in a large scale as this.
We're so fucking sorry your precious Bemani didn't succeed in the US.
All I said was that they probably get paid to advertise it, whether it's through banner ads or in game reviews. Bemani has nothing to do with it.
The oil company thing was the first comparison that came to mind.

Or maybe because I play devil's advocate when I'm bored?
Also GH sucks. Just thought I'd throw that out.

There was nothing to be proven right or wrong in the first place.

Yes there was. It was the theory that GH/RB helped reopen the US to the world of rhythm games.

It wasn't in bad shape before GH/RB came around; plenty of people were still playing DDR. GH/RB just made music games more of a mainstream thing.
And before anyone says "YOU HATE IT JUST BECAUSE IT'S MAINSTREAM", I don't hate Guitar Hero; I just find it to be completely average. I do like Rock Band, however. I'm not one of those hipster types who will try to find the MOST OBSCURE SHIT POSSIBLE.

uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhno...much like how GH is more praised than RB, and how soon DJ Hero will be more widely spread than IIDX/BM (although it was the first DJ peripheral game to come out in the US a while back, people complained for it being "too hard" and "not appealing" to the "youthful spirit of America!" =/)

ITG was nowhere near as widespread as DDR, but when I said "plenty of people were playing DDR and ITG", I did not mean both were massively successful with 47 million players. I meant that if you added the amount of people who played DDR and the amount of people who played ITG, it would be a pretty large number.
