That's really unfortunate to hear. Maybe we got a lucky machine up here in NY? The machine I'm playing on still has the great pads it came with after 2 1/2 weeks of play. Although we most likely have significantly less player traffic than Round 1's machine

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
I played a few days ago, the 2P down arrow was definitely horrible and made the pad unplayable, but 1P functioned beautifully for me.

If player traffic has anything to do with it, you'll find out in 2 more weeks. I personally don't think that's the case, but I don't know that I'll ever be able to prove it since AI's not going to be around for me to have a second X2 to confirm.

What difficulty/bpm were you playing at, and what areas of the panels do you tend to step on?

I was there with my friends, so I was mostly letting them choose. It ranged fromstuff like more more more and Feel Good Inc. to CSFILSM and Fuchinkan Candy. I was able to FC everything I played (Except Fuchinkan Candy, played that on the 2P pads).

I really couldn't tell you where I step, I don't pay attention.

well because a lot of the "good" players like playing with little movement, so they specifically go for the inner-sides of the panels. Coincidentally, that's where P1 Right felt weak to me last week, I assume neodude felt the same problem today.

Makes sense, I'll be sure to update if the pad status worsens significantly for me.

Has anyone at Round 1 uploaded any edit data to the machine? I have a bunch of my edits and a few XBOX official challenge charts (Kind Lady, Un Deux Trois, and AM-3P) in the North American edit format if anyone is interested in registering them

I've uploaded my own edits for Try 2 Luv U and Bad Routine, and the official oni charts for Un Deux Trois and murmur twins.

I can register your edits the next time I head out there! Smile I would suggest renaming the official charts as "KONAMI_3", "KONAMI_4", etc., I'm using those names to differentiate official data from the edits (KONAMI_1 and 2 are the ones I've already uploaded on the machine).

Do you happen to still have murmur twins in dat format? I'd like to put it on my machine, but I don't really feel like grunging through the web editor for it Oops

Here's a download link for AM-3P and Kind Lady, and I named the dat files as per your suggestion:

So, anyone know how DDR X2 pads are wired to the Betson dedicabs?

Yesterday at Round1 we experienced the left and right arrows of the pad mimicking the actions of the left and right buttons on the machine... (and since we didn't realize what was happening, we had a lot of speed mod "fun")

edit: Also, I swear this happened to me in the MIDDLE of smooooch, not before the arrows started.

Six wires per side I intelligently guess:

Button ground
Stage panel ground
Left (both pad and button share the same wire for each directional arrow)
Down
Up
Right

And, the speed mods lock themselves just before the song starts so I'm not sure how that happened.

yin: Here, http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/arcadelocations.php?locationid=1607 , we seem to have experienced the same thing. Someone was adjusting their Hidden+ in the middle of a song on Reverse, but both up and down only went up, however he was standing on the up arrow.

There was a reported bug at some point that standing on the pad arrows and hitting the buttons on the machine caused bugs.

I can confirm R1 has this issue. Playing Nijiro on x7 is not something I wish to repeat.

Well, Round1 didn't have this problem last week. As far as I know, they didn't replace the pads or move the pads either, so I don't know why it happened yesterday.

Last time I went they told me that they ordered new contacts for the pads, I thought they should have them by now. I wanted to go check it myself, but I couldn't go because of a recent foot injury Sad. Shame to hear they don't have those yet, and about the weird mod changing crap. Hopefully they will have them by the end of the week, or that machine is gonna be completely unplayable.

So I wonder if Konami Dares to put some Challenge charts for the RD songs.

What do you guys think?

Either way we'll find out next week. I also wonder if VD will be unlocked as well or if the other ones will be first.

Well if they do, then maybe we may see the beta version of POSSESSION as a challenge chart or a revised step chart for the challenge chart.
