SuperNOVA's stepcharts for the licensed songs were bland, the only thing that saved the likes of CENTERFOLD and WOOKIE WOOKIE was the songs themselves. The KOs had nice charts, especially on DOUBLE. DRIVIN' on DOUBLE/EXPERT still hurts if I'm not warmed up really good. That said, SuperNOVA 2 and X has good charts to good music all around IMO. Despite the whole Bay of Pigs style disaster with the arcade machines Konami has been stepping up their game since they rebooted the arcade series.

This. I was pretty much resigned to them not altering the banner, and I'm glad I was wrong. The banner's not amazing, but they took one of the worst banners to appear in an official DDR and make it workable.

Nah, I think the songs preexist. I'm sure in about 3 months they'll start releasing unlock codes. I just hope they don't release 1 unlock code every 6 weeks that does something like: Hidden song, Hidden Character, 2 songs, character accessory, character 2, character accessory 2, etc.

I played the X machine at my arcade today, and as my friend was saying the pads suck... No freeze can be held, and you have to stomp the arrows rather than step on them to get a hit...
Also, the lag is definetely noticeable, but playing to the music and forgetting about the arrow frame on screen makes it easier...
I also noticed a USB slot and a dial pad for E-Amusement... Were they there on every machine?
All in all, it will be nice to play once or twice when I happen to get at that mall's arcade, but I won't go spend evenings and days there...
