This definitely isn't right (not that it changes anything). There were other issues as well (including teammates voting for me), but I don't know if they would change first and last place.

Well this is bad >_>
My team came in last, meaning by default the winning team has to pick up Mr.Music, leaving just me, who didn't have time to get a simfile together due to finals.
Hai there first team out.

o how the fuck did team 9/f/jp survive for this long. like honestly.
o I was trying to go for more of the "fun" factor with this one than the "let's make it ball-bitingly difficult" one that I could've gone for. In fact, the Difficult chart was almost the Expert chart, so if you're in the mood for a pretty simple chart, check it out.

BIO!GEOLO!!TECHNO!!!PSYCHO!!!! - weird title, nice steps. not liking the fade out
The fade-out isn't my fault; I used the song as it is in DTX STARTER PACK. I did originally have a second set of LDUR at the end, but when I made a second chart, I figured it'd be a tad annoying to have it two times in a row (hence the 140 BPM two measures after the last freeze ends instead of directly after it).Post #656 · Posted at 2011-12-01 11:26:05am 13.7 years ago

A Geisha's Dream (Ruffage Remix): I used to harp on Braeden47 for this, and now it's your turn. You have a heavy left foot. Watch how often you use the left arrow as the start or end of a pattern, or just in general. It breaks the flow of many of the patterns.
BIO!GEOLO!!TECHNO!!!PSYCHO!!!!: The only part I didn't like was the rhythms at the end. Some of them just felt wrong, or off, or something. Otherwise, a really tight chart. And nice music!
Boom Boom Pow: The music choice...ahahaha wat. Challenge was pretty good, but needed more freezes. Heavy too. I preferred Heavy overall though.
Caramelldansen: GREAT! GREAT! GREAT! but I have seen way too many charts for this song and yours doesn't really impress me enough to re-sync it, sorry
CODENAME WA LADY-X: This is a crazy little tune. The chart's OK, but I'm confused by a few of the rhythms (not the swung parts anymore, I get those ;) )
INVOKE: yeah get that T.M. Revolution. Chart's not bad. Some strange freezes that feel out-of-place, but otherwise cool, pretty standard animu song chart.
ペテン師が笑う頃に: Really cool song. But...it's a standard swing beat. And I kind of hate that you went with 16ths sometimes and 32nds sometimes but never 24ths or 48ths
Patterning is good though, I'd much rather play this than CALICO CAT ROCK or something similar.
QUILT: Wow, this is not the chart I would have made for this song, but it's good. Really good. The tradeoffs between vocals and drums are for the most part done well.
Trigger: Hmm. I'm not sure what to say about this. It's...almost too formulaic? You're following the one low drumbeat perfectly, but the chaert patterns can't decide whether they're for a boss song or not. Didn't like that last 100->200 BPM switch right on the triplets, shoulda been two beats later.
UNBELIEVABLE (Sparky remix): Thank you so much for giving this song a proper jun song chart (i.e., pre-SUNKISS DROP). Not that I disliked the original, but this fits it better for sure.
Votum stellarum: Bleh, this chart wasn't really an improvement over the original. If anything, it was more generally overstepped, instead of just those little 16th clusters like the original had. I'm really hard on DDR edits, because there's precedent for charts - they gotta be REALLY good to stand out.
Wanna: ahaughbuahgh can't let song choice impact my vooooote but you restepped pretty much my favorite PIU Fiesta song. Challenge was absolutely beautiful, the pattern echoing is on point. and omg the spins in Heavy I feel like a sexy young lady
Yellow Sunrise: SONG CHOICE. HNNNNGH. But I felt the chart was backwards in terms of intensity - flat during the parts where it should have been busy and vice versa.

REVIEW TIME
A Geisha’s Dream (Ruffage Remix) – Like Telperion said, so many lefts. However, I still have to say that you’re improving, so there’s a plus. ;)
BIO!GEOLO!!TECHNO!!!PSYCHO!!! – First of all, title makes me laugh. Second of all, this would have been such a great simfile if the ending wasn’t so screwed up. Better luck next time!
Black Diamond – Cho dar bot nice sim. I thought I was gonna double step at the very end but I didn’t. Pretty nice.
CODENAME WA LADY-X (NEW LADY X & BEST HIT 80’s MEGA-MIX) – I was a teensy bit disappointed with this simfile. Not saying it was bad, because it wasn’t. I was expecting a little bit more from this.
INVOKE – I’m not into music into this style, but I have to say, this was FUN.
Petenshi ga Warau Koro Ni – Dude, where’s the triplets?
QUILT – Wow. This simfile was nearly flawless. I love it.
Trigger – If this wasn’t a boss song, I think this kind of chart would be implemented. The second 100BPM change wasn’t too good. It would have been better off not having it. Nice edit.
UNBELIEVABLE (Sparky Remix) – This absolutely DESTROYS the official steps. Little bit of double steps here and there, but I really had fun with this one.
Votum Stellarum –forest #25 DDR RMX- - I do have to admit, I liked this edit. However, I happen to like the official steps better.
Wanna – If this simfile doesn’t win, then there’s a problem.
Yellow Sunrise – Not too shabby. I had a little fun on this one.

DISCLAIMER :: I am running on anxiety, stress, and caffeine right now. Deadlines + simfiles =/= anal Grithok reviews.
A GEISHA'S DREAM (RUFFAGE REMIX)
Uninspired patterns + Doublesteps = I don't like this. I don't think that you did the song justice, and, like Tel said, you decided to stick to one side of the pad WAY too much. ("Heavy left foot", I think the phrasing was.) Don't be afraid to chuck some freezes in there, too. Well, in general, don't be afraid to do things next time. Uninspired charts get no sympathy from me. (read: I gave Red Goose points even though it was offsync as balls.)
BIO!GEOLO!!TECHNO!!!PSYCHO!!!!
The slowdown caught me offguard, and for a bit after the tempo sped back up, the rhythms seemed to be... wrong. They were more on the off-eighth than the quarter, which is where they should be. It also had way more voltage than I thought it needed--sixteenths are to be used EXACTLY WHEN THEY ARE NEEDED--no more, no less. The excerpt from where the sample music played, though, had nice rhythms, and you had a very nice beginning. The ending was WTF, even if it went with the music, though. I. Hate. Triplets.
BLACK DIAMOND
It's probably not a coincidence that I felt like my ears began to bleed when I heard part of the sample music. Your song choice was just NO, but I can respect what you did with it. It's the exact opposite of what I would have done with it--except during the refrain, that was pretty similar to what I thought it would be--but it still worked. A good easy chart, even if it wasn't the one I thought it would be.
BOOM BOOM POW
ahahaha wtf
CARAMELLDANSEN
Well, you charted it EXACTLY how I would, which is always a plus for me, but what's less of a plus is that it was noticeably offsync, and I FUCKING HATE CARAMELLDANSEN.
LADY-X THING
I did not agree with much of what you did here. The beginning was nice, yeah, but up until where the sample music started, OHAI DOUBLESTEPS. I didn't know where you were going with any of the turns, spins, crossovers... and, unlike some other files, here, I did need to know.
INVOKE
"...And here, if you look to your left, you will see something that I like to call the "floating eighth". The floating eighth is a wild creature native to awkward charts in which, while the background goes on with a distinct emphasis on the quarter, the melody follows an offbeat eighth pattern and the step artist matches with the eighth rather than the quarter. In some cases it can be feral and may attack if provoked, but, if tamed correctly, it can be made a wonderful pet or gift for your grandmother or granddaughter!"
You didn't tame your floating eighths and as such they mauled your grandmother
PETENSHI GA WARAU KORO NI
I originally thought I would hate it. I didn't. Like Mikeneko Rock (one of my favorite charts), it was a high-speed chart that used triplets to its advantage. None of the crossovers or doublesteps subtracted rom the chart, but rather, were masterfully employed to add to it. My favorite chart this week, good job!
TRIGGER
...Well, I like the song.
UNBELIEVABLE (SPARKY REMIX)
I hate you an unspeakable amount. Nothing personal, it's just that after playing this song, it was in my head for DAYS afterward. Nonetheless, I honestly think that your Difficult chart could be your Expert chart--just because it was once a boss song, doesn't mean it still has to be. They were good enough, that's for sure. That isn't to say I didn't like the Expert chart--I did. I gave you points, didn't I?
YOU
YOU OPENED UP MY EYES
YOU'RE SO UN-BE-LEEEEEEEEE-VA-BULL
...
I HATE YOU.
VOTUM STELLARUM
The good points and the bad points of this chart are one and the same: I can't tell the difference between your edit and the regular chart. Random sixteenth farts--way too many for its own good--with proportionately small amounts of eighths in between, awkward jumps... Though that's what gave the original chart its iconoclastic (see what i did therr) charm, it didn't seem to work the second time I saw it.
WANNA
INVOKE? Take a page from measure 13, because here's where "floating eighths" really work. Your Challenge chart, though littered with weird freezes, still did the song justice that I didn't know it merited until I played the chart, and the Heavy chart was just more of the same. While the Challenge was a bit overstepped and the Heavy a bit under, they still worked together to give a very very good file overall.
YELLOW SUNRISE
There isn't much to say about this that hasn't already been said. The way it was executed was... odd, and the chart intensity was... odder. Like Tel said, you need to take cues from the music to find out where charts should get hectic and when they should go into the background. Other than that, though, it was naise.

I. Hate. Triplets.
