AFAIK, the timing window is the same as its always been.
Where you could get a PERFECT!! by just closing your eyes?
Actually, that example is invalid because this game is not entirely visual base, but you get what I mean.
I mean it's the same as most of the other CS games. I see no difference in my timing between PS2 and Wii games.

Dreamland: But the casuals can get PERFECT!!s eaiser on these games. In the arcade, they get D's and C's.

Okay, come on, the difference is not so great that casual players can get good perfect/marvelous counts on Wii games and then almost fail at the arcades...

...Maybe you're right. But the GOOD thing continuing a combo isn't cool. I won't even talk about not having Challenge charts, e.t.c

If you're not going to get DDR 2010 because of the GOODs keeping combo and timing windows being larger you should reconsider. DDR 2010 is a very lovely game. The songs all fit together like peas in a pod, and have amazing steps. They are the best steps I have ever seen. The interface is also really well done, I love it. I could spend hours and hours playing this game. It never bores me. Before you take those 2 things, 2 MINOR things and make your decision, you should rethink. DDR 2010 is better than DDR X2 arcade. That is a proven fact. The steps are specially formulated to flow very naturally. These are some of the best steps I have played. I love them a lot. I even downloaded the simfiles because there are times when I can't get to my Wii and I need a DDR 2010 fix. I'm so addicted. My favorite steps are CRAZY LOVE's. Those steps inspire me to step things everyday. I constantly look to them and think "that is what a boss song SHOULD be.". This really is the perfect DDR game. I really hope you reconsider.
I really love KONAMI for this game. I honestly don't think DDR II will be half the quality of DDR 2010 is. DDR 2010 is a perfect throwback to when the US got unique mixes. This game features brand new songs never seen in a DDR game. (Excluding FREE and maybe other songs.) It's licenses draw in beginners and keep them coming back for more. The licenses are really the best choices ever in a DDR game, and the steps are amazing. I love them. The KOs are totally worth the unlock. Every song feels like it has been studied and given really unique step patterns from the heart. My favorite non-boss song KO is Find You Again. Such wonderful steps really do compliment the epic song.
So, if you think about not getting DDR 2010 because of those 2, unimportant features, you should reevaluate your thoughts. DDR 2010 will definitely not waste your time. Or money.

The only thing that i quite disappointed about DDR 2010 = licence songs.
From 20 licence songs, only 3 songs that i like them , the others just Blah for me.
So i depend on Konami originals for curing my disappointment.
Sorry, just my opinion about DDR 2010.
I really want awesome licence songs like OLD DDR before.
Eurodance, Trance, Eurobeat, etc.

Can you hear me all the way back there in the 90's?
Sorry, but these kinds of songs are just not popular anymore and if Konami is going to have to pay to use a song, it might as well be something people are familiar with, especially if they're releasing it as a console game in the US, which depends heavily on casual players to make its sales.

I'm surprised they dug up something from before MTV. Wonder how much it cost them to license the song.
I'm only not bashing it a lot since it fits in the "music of the last 4 decades" gimmick the Hottest Party series has been going for.
Or maybe not, since including '10s songs means the '60s aren't counted.

I just wonder how about musics from Europe.
MTV or V-Channel mostly dominated with USA songs.
On Europe, Eurodance dominated but we never heard so much about the artist or even the new albums.
People know who is Lady gaga, Pitbull, Justin Bieber but how about Smile.dk, 2 Unlimited, SCOOCH, Hi-RISE ?
People never talking about them so much. Or even know who "they" are.
Only several people know about them.
Yes, the European artist in my opinion better than USA artist.
Sorry, don't get mad at me. I just wonder if USA audiences can accept the existence of European artist or even like their songs.

It doesn't any more, and hasn't been for some time. It's almost exactly the same as in the US now. It just wouldn't be profitable to fill it full of Smile.dk. Which is sad, but if you really want your Eurodance, get some sims from here! To be honest most people here'd do a better job than Konami nowadays.Although on the other hand, I'm still rather annoyed that they announced Better Off Alone by Alice Deejay a while ago and didn't bother to use it.

According to Konami you can "Be among the first to play the newest DanceDanceRevolution games live at gamescom 2011".
So, it looks like DDR II will be making an appearance. Hopefully they'll release a new trailer/screenshots at the same time.
