Wow kimono princess is to stereotypically jun. I dont really like it at all. Granted, I didnt like silver dream either. Super Samurai was good though.

KIMONO PRINCESS: Sounds like another winner from jun! Seems to take happy hardcore and put a bit of a Japanese spin to it.
Freeze: Beautiful, wonderful, amazing. nc's yet to make a song that I don't love.
La receta: It's better than I thought it would be, but that's not saying much. Probably first X2 KO I've heard that I haven't liked.

Thoughts!

KIMONO PRINCESS: Sounds good from what I can hear, but the stops seem iffy. Will have to play it to see if they make sense.
Freeze: I can't get enough of this song, it may be my new favourite for X2~
Sacred Oath: Fantastic, yet criminally short. This song is too good to end after 1:30!
La receta: Errrr, kind of generic and boring from what I can hear. I really wonder how this has a 13 Challenge chart.
THIS NIGHT: Sounds good enough, but can't really comment until I hear it full out.

In stark contrast to the KOs, the Licenses don't seem to have very good charts. Closer and When I Grow Up's charts are pretty bad. Just Dance and Do You Know have decent charts for their difficulty, but not memorable.

When I Grow Up's bad chart and song edit has left me devastated. What a shame!

Oh wow, Let's Get it Started actually looks pretty good. Maybe there's some hope for the licenses after all!

Like I said before, there is absolutely no evidence that Wiimote shakes are actually in HP3's normal mode. Correct me if I'm wrong.

there are a lot of rabid bemani fan boys on this site(you'll never convince me otherwise as all my ratings drops have come from me defending non bemani music games). i lost 15 points on my rating the other day in the dj hero thread for pointing out that having a higher learning curve doesnt make the over all difficulty of the game higher once learned, citing through the fire and flames expert+ drums in GHSH vs the same song on expert in DM, as well as pointing out several other songs that take their toll on your arms and leg(s) over a span of 4 or 5 minutes as opposed to the 2 minute GF/DM songs.

but yeah, everyone is fair when it comes to ratings

edit : I have no idea what they meant when they sais they were using "master tracks" to create the songlist. It apparantly means all the song cuts are lazy as hell, and can be replicated perfectly, using a CD copy of Now That's What I Call Music 71

Oh... I am so pleased with this game, even though I still haven't obtained it's glory. People seem to dislike this game, but I think it was worth the wait... Now, I want the 27th to come so quickly. I envy the people who have it already.

You know? From what I've seen of X2 (the first one I didn't scoop at launch, by the looks of it; since 3rdMix!)... I really don't know what to think. The new songs and charts are good-looking so far. But this whole thing reeks of holding back. I mean, consider the revival songs selected, compared to say, Japanese SN2 or DDR X. Even DDRMAX 2 (USA). Now, luckily this isn't another case of EXTREME (USA), where they take over 50+% of the tracklist, but I have to say I was expecting a little more from this title. It's nice that we FINALLY get Dance Dance Revolution (the song), but still no MAX. (period) or PARANOiA -Respect-? Even though the latter has been in Japanese versions TWICE now?

I suppose it's good for what it is, but it's certainly no step "forward." In fact, what it screams to me loudest is that you can hold out for the Japanese version of the game, and probably not miss even one single song of this entire mix. Not even an attempt at Xmixes either, which were one of my favorite elements of X. Out of 60 songs/stages, 7 are -only, and another dozen are from older mixes, and all but a few of those (LOVE IS ORANGE, HYSTERIA, and un deux trois? Maybe La Senorita virtual) are B-grade songs? Really?! And not even a single Universe-era or Ultramix 3/4 system crossover to bridge any gap either? Or the suspiciously arcade-ported, but absent SUPER SAMURAI?

(Another personal disappointment I'm facing, is that I was really looking forward to My Prerogative and Feel Good, Inc. and hoping like hell I wouldn't need to buy a new system to do so. Oh well.) Matter of fact, I think I'll wait out Xmas, and pick this up used. Probably for like, $5, too.

I do like the new songs though, as well as evidence that Orange Lounge isn't kaput when it comes to DDR. MONDO STREET -really- needs an arcade comeback. The new stepcharts and their quality, plus the lack of hesitation to feature revival songs to begin with makes me REALLY wonder what they're trying to accomplish with this title, when it's SOO obvious that they could effortlessly do more with it. A LOT MORE.


Uhh... IIRC, EyeToy and Hands-and-Feet Mode still work in the PS2 titles. There's hands in them charts, regardless of your system. ;)
