probably it has a pre-evo or something, give it a dagger/knife based mon :p
I like this idea. starts off with dagger/knife then to sword and then machete/scimitar, hell I would settle for Cloud Strife's sword as a pokemon

Or maybe they could go the Nintendo route and make an evolved form similar to the Master Sword?
Wonder if they might have other armament type Pokemon in the future. Actually, there's another idea. Maybe a pre-evolution could be some sort of pre-forge blank and then you have the choice to evolve it into a sword (offense) or shield (defense).

The Pokemon Dream World won't be around for Pokémon X and Y, so I decided to hunt down the pokemon with the hidden abilities that I want. This is very time consuming and annoying when you only find male pokemon with the hidden ability.
I came across this program called the "Dreamworld Hack Tool"
http://www.lugia.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=7419.0
To add to the quote, this is compatible with both black/white and black2/white2. Since the file only plays the dream world for you, you'll still need to have the required dream points and badges for areas to unlock and for rarer pokemon to appear. Luckily, you'll be gaining points if you use this program.
I wound up befriending three female chansey through this in my White2 game, and a new row to plant berries in my Black and White games. This program is good stuff.

Well, it doesn't hack, per se.
One of my friends has figured out how the Pokémon Global Link works, and has managed to more or less decompile the entire thing - getting all the images, sounds, minigames, you name it as offline files. He recently figured out how to use this data to befriend Pokémon automatically.
I've been using this program for a couple weeks now, it makes life so much easier... All you need to do is give it your PGL login cookie, then run it and it will automatically befriend every single Pokémon present on the island each day, as well as find all items. This means a solid 7-9 pages of Pokémon will show up, and lots of rare items like Big Pearls, PP Up's, Ethers, you name it.
The way the Dream World works is that on each visit to the "Island", there are about 12 Pokémon that are set to appear - and given that there are only 10 areas you can view before you reach the Tree of Dreams, at most you can find 10 of the 12 (in reality, it's usually more like 4 or 5 per visit). This means you're LOSING more than half of the potential Pokémon you can befriend.
Additionally, since each minigame takes a minimum of 60 seconds (unless it's the 'find the Pokémon' one), there's only so many you can even get before your hour runs out. The genders are pre-determined, but the moves that each Pokémon knows is determined by your score in the minigame... in order to get the best moves, you'd need to get over 45,000 on most games, which is next to impossible unless you really know what you're doing. And say you're like me and only want females, so that you can potentially breed their Dream World-exclusive natures, why waste time only to find out that each Pokémon you encounter is male?
The way this program works, is you give it the specific berry you want to use (Or you can put '0', and it will skip any instance of the Ice Cream minigame, though there are certain Pokémon that only use that minigame), tell it what rank you want to earn in each minigame (the numbers range from 1-5, for some reason it works like golf and a lower number is better, so putting '1' will give you the best moves), and what language your Dream World account is in (for most, it would be 'en' for English). Then just let it do its thing, and when you cross the island next you'll have 7-9 pages full of Pokémon.
So, instructions for those of you too lazy to read:
1. Log into Pokémon Global Link.
2. Export your cookies to a file called cookies.txt. You need Firefox, and this addon. It will be under Tools, Export Cookies. Save the file to the same folder that dw.exe is in.
3. Click on "Dream World" and let the video load.
4. Close the Pokémon Global Link tab, and open dw.exe.
For dw.exe:
1. Give it the number of the berry you want to use, if any. 0 means none, and for the rest of them refer to this page for the specific number. (I used '7', Oran Berry, it's the most common and most useless one)
2. Give it the rank you'd like. I suggest using a '1'. Values are from 1-5, 5 being the lowest score.
3. Tell it what language your account is in. Assuming it's English, you type 'en'.
Press Enter and watch the magic.
(Obviously, you don't use the quotes, I'm just using them to set the values aside.)
Once you're done, just open Pokémon Global Link again, cross the Dream Bridge (Trust me, the island will be completely empty, just rush across it) and reach the Tree of Dreams, and pick your Pokémon from the massive list. Unfortunately you can still only keep one Pokémon per day. Sorry :/
Another thing to note: you get 'Dream Points' every time you befriend Pokémon, and the more rare ones will require more points (as well as things like how many rows you can have in your garden, etc.)
Using this program you get around 1500 per day, which is enough to level your Pokémon up once a day, as well. Without using a script, you can usually only get 200-300 points within an hour.
I thought I'd share this because I started getting frustrated at the lack of good Pokémon on the Dream World, and have been able to get a new one every day using this program.
To download, use this link:
http://drfsupercenter.info/Programs/DW.exe
PS - if people ask, please refer them to this thread. The last thing that my friend and I want is for the EXE file to be spread around enough that Nintendo finds it and 'fixes' the site so it won't work.

I know this was posted like 85 pages ago (okay only one page ago) but I have reason to believe there WON'T be RSE remakes.
While they remade the first two generations, that was because 1) the engine was horribly out of date and 2) there was no way to bring a Kanto/Johto pokemon to any of the newer games. RSE already have a moderately up-to-date engine (at least, for now) and if you transfer pokemon from RSE to DPPt/HGSS, you can get them onto B/W/B2/W2. If you can't transfer them from B/W/B2/W2 to X/Y, then a Hoenn remake would be possible, but in the near future, it's not very likely.

Ok were back to having a male Poke Professor (found out the name is Sycamore yes another tree related name), still need more female professors and now we have Team Flare as the Evil Organization whom uses pokemon for world domination or whatever evil purpose that have in mind. I'll laugh if they have a Team Bubble (or something water related) then we'd have a throwback to Aqua and Magma.
Added 7/19/13 @11:22pm
Speaking of "Dreamworld Hack Tool". Is there any programs out there that could help me organize my boxes? During the past week I transferred all of my Pokémon from Diamond and Soul Silver versions to help fill the Dex , so that way I can choose which Pokémon I want to trade and the ones I want to keep. I must be some sort of Pikachu and Onix lover, I've got at least 5 of each.

I plan on getting all 3. I was going to say planning on getting all 6 (3 for White and 3 for Black 2), but it looks like its only for Black 2/White 2.

Sweet. Thanks Silverhawke.
Major Update 8/11/13
Mewtwo must be so lucky to not only have an awakening form but also a Mega form, but Mewtwo isn't the only one who can gain a Mega form, however only a select few can gain the Mega form by holding a Mega Stone item, unfortunately Lucario has a specific item called Lucarionite (Kyptonite anyone? lol ) and Torchic needs Blazikenite. The Hoenn starter Torchic will be distributed on launch day holding the Mega Stone item.
Another interesting thing is Super Training, which allows Pokémon to train while not in battle and helps with the EV training. I'm so looking forward to this, since I've never really bothered to EV train my Pokémon, seeing the EV training is confusing and a royal pain in the ass to do.
Well seeing that Torchic is going to distributed I may have to change my starter to Frokie to cover the balance of weaknesses in the team/party.

Here's the relevant Serebii page.
Honestly not too sure how I feel about this. They do look pretty cool, and it's nice to see some of the older pokemon getting some love. Especially Blaziken, my favorite! But I kind of wish they'd have just bitten the bullet and started to make 4th stage evolutions instead.
In other news, this new guy reminds me an awful lot of a certain other electric rodent... I doubt they're going to end up related at all, but it would be kind of cool to have divergent 1st stage Pokemon that can evolve to the same 2nd stage.

It could be a representation of pokemon retaining certain physical traits when breeding?
