okay well lets assume they only give us the usual 70 songs...
the songs that have been confirmed thus far are:

Til The Lonely's Gone
30 Lives
Time Hollow
Taj He Splits
Poseidon

thats 5 songs, so we're left with 65

Then lets assume they give us all the planet songs to go with Poseidon

Jupiter (The Bringer of Jollity)
Pluto
Pluto Relinquish
Saturn
Venus
Uranus

Thats another 6 so now we're at 59 songs

and I'd be hoping that konami decides to knock the license count back down to twenty (ish).

when you take the songs I mentioned above and add those to about 20 licenses, we're only left with 39 available spots for KO's, 34 if Konami gives us 25 licenses like they did last year.

I'm really hoping AeronPrometheus is right in his educated guess about the 60 new songs in total for the CS version!!!

oh and for speculation purposes, when you take out the planet songs, the only KO's we're missing from SN2 are:
GIRIGILI
L'amour et la liberte
Shades of Grey
SUNKiSS♥DROP
Why not
Blind Justice (Torn Souls, Hurt Faiths)
Bloody Tears (IIDX EDITION)
CaptivAte ~Chikai~
MARS WARS 3
Votum stellarum

then there's also the groove radar specials...

and who knows what we'r still missing from EXTREME and SuperNOVA.....

Question MarkQuestion MarkQuestion MarkQuestion MarkQuestion Mark man, I love all this prerelease speculation!!! Exclaimation SignGreen Grin

We only didn't get 16 songs from SN2? What about the JP Exlusives?

Anyways, I really think we're going to be getting atleast 80 songs . With that said, I think we'll get fewer lisenses, to leave room for the new KO's and stuff we haven't gotten yet from Extreme and SuperNOVA.

We're still missing several JP CS songs, such as Moonster, I Need You (True Platinum Mix), and PARANOiA ~Respect~ (I wouldn't be surprised if the other STARS remix is the Earth song). There's also the possibility of Ultramix crossovers.

Who knows, we might not see all of the SN2 songs (but please include Blind Justice on this game Smile ).
They should include Brilliant RED, SOUL CRASH, Dance Dance Revolution, Himawari, CHIKARA, and the aforementioned STARS*** (2nd NAOKI's style). I've been dying to try SOUL CRASH since the first time I heard the song, but I don't wanna go to the arcade just to play that song.
You forgot Dead End! Evil
Not really, since all I listed were songs that (with the exception of Brilliant RED and Himawari) never appeared in any American DDR release. Of course, if we are to see some repeats, DEAD END will most likely appear due to the GROOVE RADAR Special.

EDIT: I forgot about Himawari...that's what I get for not owning any of the Ultramixes past the first.

Himawari was in Ultramix 3.

Yeah, I thought tere was more as well, until I counted them out for myself and I was like WHAAAT???

haha but yeah, actually i did forget all about the CS exclusives...
that means there SAGA, Leave Me Alone, The Flowers In Your Smile, and Puzzle from SN2 JP CS.

Then there's Moonster, and Soul Crash from SN JP CS.

Also like I said the revivals that we still haven't seen like Magic Door, Drivin', White Lovers, etc...

If anything i'd be hoping to see some of the STRIKE/Ultramix 2 songs appear here, mainly R10k, Fly Through the Night, In My Eyes, and G2!!! I would love to see G2 on a ps2 version!!!

With all that said I would really like to be optimistic and assume that Konami will up the song count to 80+ this time around!!

Up there, Motoko said "Not counting the planet songs" but then included Mars war 3, Lamour, Sunkiss Drop, which are all three planet songs.

Im suprized there is no information from the test location, since it was suppost to have started last thursday.

But in the end, it still ends up the same amount of songs so it doesn't really matter.

I really hope they put an 80+ songlist! That way, we can get the songs from SuperNOVA and under. I'm still waiting to get Last Message Sad

More like two days because of the time difference (It's currently Tuesday morning in Japan). Tongue

P.S. I wonder if Konami is going to wait until Wednesday to reveal more on DDR:X. If they do, we'll be getting both PS2 info and Arcade info at around the same time!

mybad, i forgot about mars war, but i didn't even realize l'amour, and sunkiss were considered planets (or at least planet songs).

yeah, I don't see how Konami could get away with only giving us 70 songs this tiem around.

lets hope for the best!

The sun isn't a planet, but SUNKiSS DROP is sorted with the planet songs.

The artist of L'amour is NAOKI in the MERCURE, which refers to Mercury.

The artist of STARS is TERRA, which is Latin for Earth.

Poseidon is another name for Neptune.

The rest are self-explanatory.

Motoko: What Ultramix songs would I like? Wow, that list is pretty long. My absolute favorites are Mind Parasite, R10K, VJ Army, G2, route 80's, R5, and Disabled the FLAW.

They're probably to reveal more info on the day of their press conference, but I doubt it's going to be much. IIRC, all they revealed at E3 last year were the game modes and a few screenshots, one of which revealed just a fraction of the song list.

okay thanks for the explanation. It makes more sense now. Smile

haha but truly any songs from the Ultramix series would be good since we only got like 2 on SN2 CS US.
Or maybe we'll get stuff from Universe?

Beey no! Don't think like that! If Konami listed DDR X as one of the games being showcased, they're going to release a partial songlist. THEY WILLEvil

I think we'd be more likely to get more songs from the Ultramix series. The 360 is really popular right now, so they might think adding Universe songs to the NA PS2 releases wouldn't be necessary.

SN2 and Hottest Party were part of the line-up for Konami's presentation last year, and they were barely covered. Only about a dozen songs from SN2 were revealed at E3 07. Like I said before, we'll likely to get more info on the song list from Comic Con than from E3.

Very true, get some song pack songs like INFINITE PRAYER floating flock style, and Love Me Do The Acolyte's remix.Smile

Just don't have half the songs be from Ultramix.

I agree. I find Ultramix was very more... techo/trance-ish than the PS2 games. I like techno but ultramix had alot of no nonsense sounding techno songs which I don't like as much.

And to me, a dozen songs sounds fine Big Grin Anything at this point is good Tongue
