DDR X2 (AC) (International)

I know it's probably a pipe dream, but I do hope the licenses are licensed for the soundtrack. I feel like the nonstop megamixes will never be the same without them; part of the joy was the mix of BEMANI songs, then suddenly a song you know. On that note, I'm hoping the substantial time between the game's release and the soundtrack release have given time for a thought-out, professionally done nonstop megamix (though with KONAMI recently actually allowing the release of that DJ HICO trainwreck, I'm not sure how likely this is). I'd love Y&Co. to do it again.

I'm wondering, though... Why are some of the videos 4:3 pillarboxed? Were they probably that way originally, or was that done on purpose to ward away hackers?

That's the original aspect ratio of the IIDX Videos

No, because, for one, these new videos have new content on the sides, and, two, Possession also has this, and I'm almost certain it was not from IIDX.

Maybe it deals with when the video was made. The only ones I saw with that were Gold Rush and Possession, and we know Possession was in the location test, so its video may have been in progress then (or done). They may have done some video expansion even for IIDX songs, as the aspect ratio for IIDX videos is actually 1:1, a square.

All of the videos are exactly as they appear on the HDD. The same with the graphics. I only size them so the aspect ratio fits the frame of the video itself. The only exceptions being Gold Rush and if you were here, which were processed slightly differently and I didn't bother going back to correct them.

Have they found any new songs that might be unlocked in the next round of unlocks?

There are no other unlocks besides the things currently locked that we already know about (RDA etc)

It's one week after IR 3 and if you look at the past trends there's always a new unlock 1 week after an IR has finished.

It should actually already be unlocked cause its after 1pm in japan.
Either way I need to find out and soon cause I'm planning on playing ITG today unless there's a new unlock.

The only potential surprises left in X2 would be Challenge charts to the Replicant D-action songs; that aside, the rest of them will probably unlock this week. End of February by the latest, I'd say.

I can confirm (unfortunately) that there is nothing that we do not already know about in the master songlist for DDR X2.

Though didn't Wuv U come out recently? Like, really recently? Like, Reflec Beat recently? I don't think that Konami would launch a song on two different music games on the same generation (hence why X2 got Zeta and not L'Erisia, which, IMO, would be a better fit for DDR).
Either way, I don't think we've heard the last of the unlocks in X2. No RDA, no VD... there's sure to be something between the RE-KP set and those songs. U3 hasn't been exhausted yet; Hit the Ground (Alexa remix), anyone?

So for the music wise, we're now left with 7 RDA songs, 冥 , & the nobody-really-care Pluto The First. Right?

So i guess.....today's unlock might be Pluto The First then. Then Konami will drag 1 more month before unlocking the rest of the RDA & other hidden stuffs we may not know about.

i feel... and KAKUMEI were both featured on DDRMAX2 and IIDX 7th Style, which launched very close to each other (I forget the order). But anyway, as eddie has confirmed, there are no more unknown songs in X2. But we already got more than promised, and what we got was amazing, so it's all right, X2 had an amazing run.
