So NAOKI must acknowledge the fact that US/EU DDRX cabinets are pretty poor.

EDIT:

A Betson rep/tech was at GameWorks Schaumburg a few days ago and I had a chance to talk to him/get his card and such. I was actually sought out by one of the GW techs and asked to speak to this guy specifically. The manager on duty was around for all of this too. One of the things I did was demonstrate the lag from machine to machine by playing Xenon on SN and then again on X. The difference was 40+ greats.
I found out several inetersting things from talking to him.
Apparently, to run e-amusement on an american machine, not only do they have to pay the $50 dollar monthly fee, but they apparently also have to rent konami's proprietary router as well.
Another thing, this guy, even though this was working on the pads and such and was from Betson, apparently had never experienced the lag because he's never seen anybody play at a high level. Leads me to believe Betson doesn't have any actual players on their staff to test this stuff. He also had never seen the test menu before. Seriously? Nothing against the guy himself, he was actually very nice and helpful, but why is Betson sending techs into the field without pre-existing knowledge of the things they're going to be working on?
It's nice to see some things actually being done/looked at/etc., but even in this process, it still seems like Betson is faltering.
One more thing I found out that I wasn't aware of (i was told this by the GW tech): apparently Betson DIDN'T actually have a hand in the development process, RAW THRILLS did. Raw Thrills is the company responsible for such entertainment abortions as The Fast and The Furious racing game. Now, I'm not certain if this is credible information, but it would certainly explain alot of the cut corners and quality issues.

And that would also explain the Guitar Hero speakers.

EDIT: Konami's greeting to US/EU players:

fyp.
Please, Konami, Betson, anybody involved in CS/AC DDR, hire people who can star ITG 11s to work on every aspect of DDR except the songs. They're not hard to find, and they'll be more than happy to work for you (once they're old enough. >_>)

Naoki: Balance Board > North American cabinet.

The world needs more full-body videos :{
I would be interested to know (and please god, don't anyone hate me. for asking this).. What is the hardest thing that you can pass, without using the bar. As far as I'm concerned, you're the best DDR player I've ever seen, and I'd like to know where you think the limit is.
I'm asking because I honestly want to know at what point I should give up trying to pass hard songs, and at what point you think I will need to use the bar, in order to keep passing harder songs.

but, when it comes to scores, these is a limit to how high a person can achieve.

Dont get me wront, there is also a limit for playing with the bar, although that limit is higher than no bar.
When it comes to me I'm pretty sure I can pass every song no bar. (maybe a few would take me a couple tries). Theres no lie that when it comes to some 15's and above, I'm not going to be scoring very well playing no bar.

Yes, that's the EXTREME 2 video. It was there on SuperNova and SuperNova 2 as well.

All of the EX2 songs should still have their background videos.

I noticed that if you push menu buttons before the machine loads the graphical UI, it queues your actions and executes them. For example:
If you start a game, push start four times, push right once, and push start again, it brings you to the song selection menu for singles standard, probably with Emi as your dancing avatar.
I haven't actually tried that yet, but I noticed once that, while I was waiting for the screen to load and tapping the start button out of boredom, the thing shot to singles, beginner, with Emi as my character. I actually got kinda POed and went elsewhere, but it was free games at the time so no personal loss to myself.

The machine gets worse yet the UI gets better. That's exactly what I would do. It would look like I'm typing a code during the "Don't fall off" screen then I'd lean on the bar and watch the game autopilot to the music select screen.

Petit question, is it possible to plug a stage from say, a Extreme-era cabinet, into these new junkheaps?

well... there's a big piece of metal that hooks from the pads to the machine, Unlike the old machines that are hooked by a giant plug. In other words, I doubt it.
