Because IIDX, jubeat, and GITADORA got new ones recently and we don't know if DANCE RUSH is actually replacing DDR

I read somewhere (can't remember where exactly) that, from the perspective of the one who wrote it, some DDR Japanese players that he/she know would prefer getting new content than having a new version, since having a new version in DDR adds nothing significant than UI overhaul, compared to other games like jubeat, SDVX, and IIDX.

Yeah but Sound Voltex is still very much popular but they don't release games yearly anymore, not since SDVXIII.

I would honestly be 100% okay with Dance Rush replacing DDR. It looks super fun and at a glance it's more accessible to the normie crowd. That's just my opinion though and it's okay if yours is different

local rhythm game enthusiasts that play one Konami rhythm game but don't try the others because they are different cannot comprehend 4 panel dance game being overshadowed by superior rhythm games also made by, and better supported by, Konami.

I'm not denying that it looks fun and I'm definitely going to check it out when Round 1 gets it, but I think people are taking that whole "Dance Rush is the next step for DDR" quote way out of context and assuming the worst.

Honestly, sound voltex is quickly becoming more fun for me than DDR. Especially since it's constantly getting more content, has a higher difficulty ceiling, and is just overall really really fun. DDR is good for cardio, and it's fun, but I'm starting to get over it.
